Due to unfortunate circumstances I was unable to turn in my custom for Heatwave, however I figured I'd finish him anyways so that you guys could see the match. Deen still "won" the title, but at least now we know what might have been. Please give both customs a full review. If you don't know who these men are then do some research. After you review each custom throughly then you can say who's figure is better. Intercontinental Championship Match

Max Moon: Complicated attire, tons of designs, smooth painting, did he mod those rings? The mask is beautiful however im not sure from that ref picture if his painting should've had red in it instead of pink. Im also going to say deen you missed a few designs, mainly the boots you could've added sculpty and gone around the boot with the yellow so its a bit inaccurate
Gate: I love the mask you made it seem flawless is this your first mask sculpt? I love the details you've done with this thing your work is flawless as always gate ill admit that. Gate your custom was flawless and you did not do any miss anything on that custom. if you had a little custom cartman to go with him it would make it pretty awesome just adding a little something just for kicks.
Winner: GCS - had to edit this a couple times i mean, i love the max moon its a complicated custom im sure you put tons of hours into him. but i just did a simple search put "Max Moon" on google and i came up with a couple pictures of him its no excuse deen.

The Maxx Moon looks good. The problem I have with it is you watered down the design all over the figure. You took the easy way out. The boots don't even look close to the reference pic. I guess that is what happens when you ask for a picture of someone else's Maxx Moon so you can copy it. Only their Maxx Moon looked better.
Golga. This cat is more Ace than Bob Orton. The sculpting is so smooth, I'm going to say most people won't realize there is any other than the mask. I love the shirt logo as well. Loos just like the real deal.
GCS wins.

I've posted my thoughts on the Max Moon in the PPV thread. Basically, I like it, and I do think it's a great figure, but there are a few flaws - mainly, I think the silver areas could've been sculpted a bit better for the figure to look a little cleaner. Other than that, stuff looks good. I love the way the mask came out, and the head choice for the face underneath the mask is a very nice detailed resemblance.
Golga looks great. The sculpting on the shirt and pants is very smooth. Painting is great, as always from you. Cartman looks fantastic. Mask looks great too. The wrinkles are very lifelike. Another crisp, clean, well done figure, Gate. I'd post some protos if you can, just to make sure people realize how much work you did on this - excellent job.
Don't want to derail this, but, KO One, I'd love to know why you decided to mouth off, then delete your posts. I don't know what, exactly, you think you've done around here to take shots at Gate, but it isn't a hell of alot. You are in no position to be calling any shots or talking to anyone the way you did. Stop overstepping your bounds.

i didn't see ko one's post, so i don't what was said or how it came across, but i do know that ko one has always admired gate's style and credits him alot for getting him started, so i have to think it was in jest what he said. i really think he was probably ribbing him tbh.
gate, your golga is awesome man! and i'm sure the judges would have voted for you to reatain with a narrow defeat; however, it is no lock and deen should be very proud of his WIN because he produced a custom that i feel like everyone likes reguardless of whom or whose work you prefer. i actually think the max moon would have won the popular vote for waht it's worth. it reminds me of forrest's win over rampage in some ways: how each individual saw the outcome depended mostly on which fighter they were pulling for to win. yes, by points forrest was better, but did he do enough to unseat the champ? both matches are too close to call imo. great job by both men!

Hey, great job on Golga! A quick question though, whose pants did you use, or are they "sculpted" on. I am working on a custom of a big guy who wears pants as opposed to tights, and I'm not looking forward to having to scupt on pant legs.

Both figures are very well done. Each look like something Jakks could have produced, in my opinion. Deen's figure appears to have tons more work put into it. There lots of more complex sculpting on Max Moon than on the Golga. However I see some sculpting flaws here and there on some of the rings. The paint job is done very well, but I do see a few flaws in places. Overall its a great figure though. Gate's Golga does appear flawless. I see what all was sculpted and I'm quite impressed that you actually sculpted a bit more than some hair, a sock, and smoothing half a torso. You pulled off the shirt and the pants very well. Also, no lumpiness like on the Joink. Paint job looks flawless and is ultra clean. As much as I hate to say it, I think Gate won. Maybe I'll give you a shot someday after I win the title next month.  |

Max Moon- It's a nice looking figure. Sculpting's good, painting is good. Where I have a bone to pick is originality. Once upon a time, a Max Moon was practically unheard of, but I have seen several made now, I kinda want to see something new, like maybe an old wrestling gear Konnan? I haven't seen one of those yet.
Golga- I have to admit, I was never a fan of The Oddities, mostly because ICP was part of it, and I despise them (Misfits = Superior facepainted group), and thus it's hate by association, but I surely do like this figure, a nicely put together figure of one of the late John Tenta's many gimmicks. I don't think I have seen a Golga made before. The sculpting of the pants and shirt looks great, and the painting of the shirt is incredible. The mask is very good aswell.

Damn it! This would of been the match for the ages. I already commented on Max Moon, so I'll move on to Golga. GCS, you amaze me with your customs yet again. He is simply amazing. Love the sculpt, the shirt, and the overall appearance. This would of been a really hard match to call because both are awesome, but in the end, GCS gets my vote.

I like the Max Moon as I said in the other thread but it's not perfect and doesn't quite look factory made due to a few sculpting irregularities and thin areas of paint here and there.
That Golga is very impressive indeed, the sculpting is flawless especially on the trousers, if I didn't know Jakks molds I would've sworn that was original, the paint work also has the look of Jakks stuff, very smooth and clean. There are very few customisers on this board that impress me and most seem to think they are alot better than they actually are, GCS is definately one of the few that impresses me, and impresses me alot nearly every time.

Looks great gate i like this one better the joink.
as far as deen being a paper champ because he won by forfit if everone remembers thats how gore and oozing won the tag belts and i have not heard anything said about that.
