Possible upcoming matches for the World Heavyweight Championship are looking to be CM Punk vs. JBL or a CM Punk vs. JBL vs. John Cena match. WWE may have Punk drop the belt in a three-way at the Great American Bash pay-per-view, letting JBL get the pin on Punk. This would go on to setup a feud between JBL and Cena with the two facing off at WWE's SummerSlam.
Another likely scenario would see JBL winning the belt at the Great American Bash in a singles match with the gimmick being that he is something like "RAW's All American hero" and this would be his pay-per-view.
WWE could change things up totally if they're impressed with CM Punk's run up until the pay-per-view and just keep the strap on him until the program runs its course, which could be a very smart move in the long run. I can't imagine people wanting to sit through a John Cena vs. JBL feud for the rest of the Summer

I want to see Punk hold it until like No Mercy and then lose it to Randy Orton.
GAB: Punk vs JBL vs Cena (Punk wins)
SS: Punk vs Y2J (Y2J deserves it, plus by GAB his feud with HBK will be over. Y2J wins by DQ at Summerslam. We'll say Randy Orton interferes and causes Punk to get counted out or something)
Unforgiven: Punk vs Y2J rematch (Punk wins cleanly-ish, Orton beats whoever in a #1 contenders match)
No mercy: Punk vs Orton. Orton wins they feud until Survivor Series. With Orton winning.
Orton turns face through some unbenounced actions, and Batista is heel.
Batista wins the title in the Elimination Chamber at Armagedon which features (JBL, Y2J, Orton, Batista, HBK, and Cena)
Orton wins the Royal rumble and goes on to beat Batista at WM 25

I can't see JBL taking the title with all the rumors flying that he's unhappy with his return and still feeling sore. I think he's going to lose and retire again.

If he loses it... Thank. God. Yep! I do HOPEFULLY that JBL going to win the title. Love him when he as champion, that was awesome. I would prefer to see JBL feud with Kane for the title, instead Cena. (Fresh feud and fresh storyline, eh?) |

I don't see the Punk dropping the World title just yet. I say Punk will get his time to shine with the title for at least 3 months or longer.
What has JBL done as of late to get into a title match against PUNK pretty much nothing at all.
I can see Cena or Batista and even Orton when he comes back being the guys to go after Punk for the title. Punk will get his time of share with the title. It is too soon for Punk to lose the title.

I can see Punk dropping the title at the Bash. But I don't know if JBL would be the man to do it. That would be ridiculous. JBL just doesn't need to have the title. He's wrestling through injuries right now reportedly and the JBL/Cena thing has been done to death.
