I will be posting the lastest breaking news here on the front page so people don't have to navigate so much. Further information can be found by following the official website link below.
Fresh off his number one contender's battle royal victory at Genext's Freakin Awesome pay per view, El Generico impromptly issued a challenge to Genext World Champion Gronda at a house show last night in Canada. Hoping to cash in on a World Title victory!
With little hesitation, Gronda promptly excepted the challenge and the first title defense for the new champion was underway!
A back and forth battle ensued with El Generico showing that underdog fight throughout the entire match!
World Champion Gronda clearly displayed some ring rust, playing the role of the hunted most of the night rather than the hunter.
In a startling turn of events, El Generico gained the upper hand and it appeared Genext would have yet another world champion.
However, a disgruntled Sylvester Terkay abruptly ended that hope, nailing El Generico with a chair while the ref was attending to the champion.
It was a major victory for Gronda and a dashed dream for one of Genext's brightest new stars.
There will certainly be much more on this situation as Genext kicks off it's second season NEXT WEEK! Don't miss it!

8-17-08 update: Roster updates:
Genext officials have come to verbal agreements for the following talent set to make their debut in Genext wrestling:
Michelle MCool
Chuck Palumbo
Dan Hollie(Danny Basham)
William Mueller(Trevor Murdcoh)
Travis Tomko
Nelson Frazier, Jr. (Big Daddy V)
Cliff Clifton(Dominoe)
AWF officials have discovered the name of the man that attacked two Genext superstars on Episode #3. He goes by the name of KIMO ANOI. His intentions in Genext have not been made known at this time and he is currently a suspect in the ongoing investigation of recent attacks in the AWF.
GENEXT will be a unique show on many levels. First and foremost it will only be 2 matches. For those of you expecting more, sorry. Times have changed and I won't make a job out of something that's supposed to be fun. This format affords me the opportunity to take some breaks but also get more shows out regularly which is quite difficult when doing six match shows.
Secondly, You'll find a roster full of potential just waiting to be unleashed. Athletes who are hungry to prove their skeptics wrong and once and for all make their mark in this business!
And, Finally, GENEXT programming benefits from it's affiliation with AWF and CpW, naturally setting the stage for some potentially compelling interactions. All friendly, of course
