-- TNA is planning for the possibility of Sting retiring when his current contract expires at the end of the year. Company officials want to give him a proper sendoff after watching what WWE did for Ric Flair. Although, Sting has not indicated whether he plans to retire from professional wrestling at the end of the year. At Slammiversary, the plan for Sting is to give an interview pondering his future in wrestling.

There is no way they can do anything even close with Sting like WWE did with Flair.

Kinda cool I guess. But Sting doesn't deserve a send off like Flair's tbh. I would be interested in it though.

if they do a send off, make sure it isnt in the impact zone with all those douchey fans
I can see it now "Please don't go!" "YOU'RE...THE...GREATEST!""WE...STILL...LOVE YOU"
All of the chants are one after another, doing that stupid clap. I forbid!

What has he ever done? He was a big draw but not compared to the likes of Flair, Hogan, Savage, Warrior ect.. He was pretty good in the ring but overrated imo.

Knowing TNA, Sting's opponent will mouth
"I apologize. I fancy you"
Before hitting their finisher. Hey, what can I say, TNA likes to steal shit.

He was pretty good in the ring but overrated imo. how do you put Ultimate Warrior in the same category as Flair, Hogan, and Savage and then go on to say that he was a better draw and bigger star than Sting. and by the way, what hasnt Sting done? he's only been World Champ 9 times. won a bunch of tag titles and mid card titles and had some great matches throughout his long career. and Sting got on top and has stayed on top for a long time. Warrior was a top guy for what, a year maybe? Sting deserves a very good send off, and i think TNA will give him it.

He was pretty good in the ring but overrated imo. WHAT? Did you watch wrestling before the attitude era? -You can make the argument that Sting is an 11 Time world champion (he has 2 reigns as WCW International Champion). -4 times most popular wrestler, this was during the height of Hulkamania -1 time wrestler of the year -2 Wrestling Observers "5 Star Matches" (Neither of which surprisingly consisted of Ric Flair) A list of accomplishments of the Ultimate Warriors via Wrestling Observer Newsleter * Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards * Worst Wrestler (1988) * Worst Feud of the Year (1989) vs. André the Giant * Worst Worked Match of the Year (1989) vs. André the Giant on October 31 * Readers' Least Favorite Wrestler (1989, 1990) * Most Overrated (1989-1991) * Worst Feud of the Year (1992) vs. Papa Shango Savage is leaps and bounds ahead of Warrior, Match of years, Wrestler of year but he was never by far a good draw.
