WOOOOOOOW That may just be the dumbest thing said on here. No offense Mattel can't keep CS because they don't own it. Jakks owns the CS line. Therefore it'd either be Mattel is buying the CS contracts or are going to do one. If this was the Jakks boards then you could say continuing the CS line. Inwhich no one knows probably not even Jakks or Mattel.

Mattel said they'd consider a classic themed line at some stage, but want to get settled in with their base lines before considering doing it. They did say its a definite possibility, but what people say and what people do are two very different things.

except for a few key people we have everyone you could possibly want in cs. i dont see the point of mattel having to acquire ALL the contracts jakks did. if we dont get owen or macho maybe mattel could do some IE one offs but a full cs line is pointless

To be honest, it's too hard to digest any words or said information until we see what we get given in 2010.

I can honestly say if Jakks covers all wrestlers released from WWF LJN, WWF Hasbro, WCW Galoob, WCW OSFTM, and WWF Jakks BCA then Jakks can say they are finished and I would at least feel comfortable, HOWEVER even outside of those sets there are MANY more that could and should be signed

I really like the CS line, but come on, what is left to accomplish? Why is it so important to continue this line. Everyone needs to accept, that Mattel is going to be running this show from then on and if they continue a line you love then great, if not then fine, because they are going to do things different. They will stray from the current tunnel vision lines we have now. New people, new ideas, new passion, new everyhing. So many people are caught up on this line continuing, you know you can only make so many HBKs, Hogan, & Warriors before they get old. What is that famous stephen king movie line?.?.? Really, it would make no sense for Mattel to continue a classic/legends line as they'd have to re-produce everyone Jakks already did. It would make more sense for Jakks to continue their line.

Honestly, I feel JAKKS has covered most of the important CS figures and will do so before losing the contract in 2010. I don't see any point in it continuing afterwards as we nearly have everyone truly vital to have. I think Mattel will mainly focus on the current product.

I imagine mattel's main focus will be oin the current product, however there is a lot of guys we haven't yet seen who could be realed in a classics type series.
Don't forget though that jakks may still release CS figures once away from the wWE. It has been a big seller for them & will be reluctant to lose it. Still a lot of guys who could be made without infringing on the WWE's trademarks
