HBK retires Flair at Wrestlemania. They then decide to do a Batista/ HBK feud with Batista blaming HBK for retiring his mentor. For some reason, they include Jericho in the feud to play good cop/ bad cop. He winds up getting superkicked by HBK on RAW and powerbombed by Batista on SmackDown.
Fast forward to after Backlash...Jericho continues his feud with HBK, while the WWE forgets about Batista, even though that's who the whole feud started with anyway. Jericho blames HBK for faking an injury, playing the role of the heel in the feud. It turns out, Jericho was right all along...but he still gets superkicked again.
So, that brings us to tonight. Seeing as how Jericho has been made out to look like a jackass in this entire angle, it would only make sense for him to actually pick up a big win over HBK, right? Apparently not. HBK goes over Jericho because...why? It's not like HBK needed the win more than Jericho. There was absolutely no reason for Jericho to lose tonight. They could have easily had him defeat HBK (it doesn't matter how, since he's a tweener anyway), have a rematch between the two at Night Of The Champions with HBK winning, and then a finale at SummerSlam or the Great American Bash as the rubber match of what could have been an awesome feud.
Oh, and through this whole feud, Jericho has been Intercontinental Champion. And I'm pretty sure he hasn't defended the title since the week before Wrestlemania against Big Show.
I don't get it. Why have HBK win when Jericho was actually just starting to get over?

I know its crazy, this feud is really weird. But i do hope it leads to and IC title match at NOC between the 2.

To be fair, it was a good match. I just don't get why they don't have Jericho defend the title.

I honestly, truly believe sometime very soon there will be a rematch and Jericho will win. I just have a feeling.

Yeah, I was really banking on Jericho winning tonight, but as long as the match was good, I don't really care.

It's not so much Jericho loosing that bothers me, it's more than after the match he shook HBK's hand like the last month hadn't even happened. - I fully expected him to do what he did at Mania and low blow him, or beat him down or something but a hand shake. Just seems a bit odd.

I think they had HBK win this time so Jericho could win with hsi IC title on the line at Night of Champions.

Why have HBK win when Jericho was actually just starting to get over? They are both old veteran wrestlers who have been around forever. Honestly, who cares. It's not like Chris Jericho is some young up and coming talent who desperately needs wins to keep his push alive. Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho are both at the point in their careers where it doesn't matter if they win or lose, they can still come out on RAW the next night and get a huge reaction and you could throw either one of them into the world title picture at any time and they would both deliver an awesome storyline. So really, why does anybody care who wins except if the one who loses is your favorite of the two? I'm sure WWE knows what they want to happen and did it for a reason...its a fake TV show, we'll just have to tune in tomorrow to see where they are going with this.

Well this makes about as much sense as trying to get people too watch there product by taking away sound, lights, and matches. That is why I stopped watching.
OK so lets go through this.
Jericho bassically sides with Batista. Batista beats him up.
Jericho calls out HBK saying he is faking. The fans boo him Okay.
Shawn lies saying he isn't hurt. Fan's cheer him.
Shawn is found out after Jericho apoligises.
Fans cheer HBK and boo Jericho.
More importantly what did this whole fake injury angle have to do with anything.
Jericho: You faked an injury so I'm gonna give you a really injury.
So shawn lies and fakes an injury and hits a cheap shot. FACE
Jericho apoligises after telling the truth. HEEL
However what did that really do for the feud.
They shake hands afterwards. Why are they ending this so soon?
Oh wait Chris Jericho is IC. Has anyone else noticed he hasn't defended the title in 45 days. He has had 1 title defence he lost to the big show. No rematch and Jericho hasn't defended the title in 45 days inwhich was his only defence and he retained due to the fact he got him self dq'd.
Well that is nothing. Hardcore Road went 4 months without defending the tag titles. They hardly had any tag matches even. That is more of The World Aquaintence Championship.
They are making less sence then having Triple H rape a dead corpse in a Kane mask.

I'm going on record right now by saying that this was the last we'll see of HBK vs. Michaels, and the WWE won't be continuing the HBK/ Jericho feud. Bank on it. They'll both move on and feud with other wrestlers with absolutely no concrete ending to a feud that they spent 2 months building.

Less predictable, hell I thought Jericho was going to win too and was very surpirsed to see him lose. ANd its not like a loss to Michaels is going to hurt. Hopefully he"ll turn him heel.

This whole storyline was a bad idea and is a complete mess. Even though I'm a huge HBK fan, I agree that Jericho should of picked up the win tonight. Maybe by faking an injury of his own and then hitting the Code Breaker. It would of at least made Jericho not look so weak.

I'm hoping HBK gets the IC Title out of it.
