Cabana - I've never seen this outfit before, but it's great. All the text looks smooth and perfect. All the colors are bright and cover well. Great parts choice, I don't think there is a better head or torso for him and you even got the shape of his singlet down. Overall, very clean and pretty much flawless.

Rave - I really like this figure and I think it's very well done. All the paint looks really smooth and professional. The head I'm not sure about, I feel like it looks a little tough and chiseled for Rave, but it does have the right expression on his face. I like the pink parts, but I feel like there just isn't much detail in this outfit.

Since I have to choose, I'm going with GCS because I feel the Cabana just has more detail and more to judge. There is nothing wrong with Jimmy Rave, but I guess it's just not as intricate and flashy.

You guys are both awesome customizers and I always look forward to seeing your work. I'd love to see an IC title match between you guys where you both go all out. I think that would produce some awesome figures.

gate - usually im not a fan of painted on singlets but you couldn't really sculpt one for a playable order and no jakks singlet has a big enough body. The singlet is painted extremly well though, a really nice smooth red with crisp black outlines
the batman-esque logos are also very well done, letters, especially that small can be a real challenge and you nailed it well.
head is standard for cabana but it works well.

tex - the head works to an extent, the chin looks a little off to me but the hair and bandana are really good. the body seems to big for jimmy but i guess there are only so many options with tobiz and it doesn't look bad at all. Its plain but the rips are a nice touch.
I dont like the jean legs on the tights crotch, its an awkward looking transition if you get what i mean. I think it would have looked better if you had simply sanded down the belt of the jeans piece rather than swapping it out.
The painting on the legs is really good, especially the awkward star. The bandanas on the legs look a tad big but they look good and are painted nicely
i think the arm bandana is a nice touch too

overall two very good customs with a couple of lucky buyer but the amazing detail of the cabana puts it over the edge

I vote for gat mostly beacause it is more detailed but i also think it is neater..... i dont like the head used on Rave but there s not many choices.... both are great

GCS: This is one of my favourite customs that you have made. The Dupree head works for Cabana. His singlet shape is perfect as well as the paint job. It looks extremely smooth. More importantly, the designs look like Jakks painted them as well as the text.

Texacide: Not a fan of the toybiz style. But the painting is nice and smooth. Not as much detail as Gate's custom.

GCS wins.

I would have to give it to Texacide.

His custom just looks so damn clean, smooth, and accurate. I love the colors, the parts, the overall outcome in general is just awesome. I think you should have used a Crash holly head but whatever, that head works too.

GSC is just an amazing painter. This is amazing. But I hate the head. I don't know why. I just do. I think a HHH with modifying would have worked perfectly. The hair is a little high and the sides should be a tad lighter. And the body around the torso area should be thicker. The dude is not that fit.

They are both really really good though. I can't really look at them consistantly without changing my decision everytime I review them. Good job guys.

wow.. i get sent this link and get told that someone made a Rave custom, being that I do Rave's website.. I figure.. let's check it out.. low and behold.. its the one Texicide had done for me!

The comedy of it all was a friend of mine got a Cabana custom, showed me the pics so I come here and ironically.. its her Cabana vs my Rave..

both are awesome..and this is my first time seeing my Jimmy and wow.. all I can say. I absolutely LOVE it.. thanks again and I can't wait to have him to add to my collection and especially have pics of him with the real deal!!

GSC: Overall your painting is pretty much flawless. However I do not like the painted on singlet. It works, but rarely. I just don't like painted on singlets. Colt Cabana is a little thicker bodied as well. I do not care for the head either. The head looks like the exact one you used on the match against Deen, maybe not though, your Magnum TA's always come out looking like the same head.

Texacide: Paint job is flawless as well. The head works much better on this one. The detail down to the rips in the shirt and the bandanas, wrist tape, and elbow pad all help finish this off nicely.

i gotta go with gatecitysinner cause his paints kinda rough which makes it look alot realer (is that even a word?) and cause im a big cabana fan. texacide's is really good to the reason i didnt pick it is mainly for 2 reasons a i hate jimmy rave and b cause its toybiz but other then that is a great figure and awesome painting

Sandy, which HHH head are you referring to? I'm sure I'll have to make another Cabana and I would like to use a different head.

In my opinion, these contests would work alot better if you both did the same charater or person instead of two different ones. Also, if you did a charater everone knew or a well known person. This would make it alot more interesting contests. Just my two cents.
