Simple question which has probably been asked time and time again, what if Sir Alex decided at the end of this season that, with (the chance of) a 10th Premier League Title in the bank and his second Champions League victory tucked away nicely, the time is right for him to retire in glory.
There is no telling as to how much longer Sir Alex can carry on for, as recent years have shown, he still has enough passion and the know-how to carry on bringing trophys to Manchester United's cabinet. I am not saying we should oust him at all, i am asking if he ousted himself in the next couple of years, who should United bring in to replace him.
Who do you think would be able to take what Sir Alex has built over 21 years and what he has built in particular over the past 2-3 years and move forward with Manchester United Football Club?
For me, i would like to see Martin O'Neill replace the great man. Martin has the passion and commitment of someone who could drive a team which has had unparalleled success to even more success in the future. I like his style of football and i think he would be able to instill an adaptated style of football from United's current way of playing, if he took over. My pick would be Martin O'Neill.
Thoughts.

I think it should be you. Fergie is such a nice guy, we should replace him with a git.

I'm being hypothetical with this thread, i know alot of you will just post the above( : but try to be a little less sarky and put more thought into you're response to a possible situation which will arise one day. Could be this season, could be next, hell could be in ten years but sooner or later he will want to retire, who should we have to take over when he does.

He wont leave till United pass Liverpools domestic league record in my opinion. But out of that list, Carlos Quieroz or Martin O'Neil

O'Neil is not generally associated with City when you think about him.
Also, according to your logic, this rules Sparky out as well

Id imagine it wud be carlos quierez (sp?) or maybe roy keane. I think the choice needs to be british or a big part of uniteds history. If not the heart of the club cud be taken away!! But the influx of protugese and south american players wud indicate Carlos' influence!
