Its called being an ACTOR. He is ACTING. Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal played gay cowboys, and look what it got them. Both with Oscar Nominations, and Heath with the most amazing role of his career.

Maybe the original poster doesn't want to see Jim Carrey play a gay guy. Get over it. And if you ask him, I bet you he isn't homophobic. I mean, whose scared of gays anyway?

I absolutely loved Cable Guy, though I do say that when it first came out everyone hated it that I knew...I loved it and continue too...now its like one of ppls fav. of his films...its just amusing to me that people change their minds like that..and for the record the two greatest movies has been his more serious roles in my opinion...The Number 23 and Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind...i loved them
