Jim Carrey has found the love interest for his next film and it's probably not who you'd expect. Ewan McGregor has signed on to play the object of Carrey's affection in the upcoming comedy I LOVE YOU PHILLIP MORRIS. In the film Carrey will star as a conman sentenced to prison in Texas. There he meets his cellmate, Phillip Morris, who he falls in love with. Morris is released and Carrey spends the rest of his days orchestrating ways to get out of jail to be with him.

That's awesome. Carrey can pull off a gay guy, brilliant. And the rest of you guys are homophobic or what?

First off original poster, Slappy was kidding, and secondly why are you such a homophobe? Actors get paid to ACT, he is acting gay, he is tagging one of the hotter chicks in Hollywood right now, so I wouldnt be too worried about his fanny.

What's wrong with playing a gay guy?
Seriously, this is the 21 century shouldn't we be getting beyond our prejudice towards diversity in society ?
How is it going to ruin his career?
Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal played gay characters and it did wonders for their careers.

What the is wrong with someone playing the role of a gay person? You obviously have some issues you really need to deal with...

If I ever become an actor I'll only accept gay roles. Tom Hanks, Oscar. Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Oscar. Hilary Swank, Oscar. Charlize Theron, Oscar. Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal, Oscar nominations. This is a great career move for Carrey, seriously if you play gay, intellectually- disabled or a struggling black man overcoming adversity you're guarenteed some buzz.

I thought people were over the whole "no way, he/she can't be in a gay role!"
It's acting, and even if an actor is gay, why the hell should that be a problem and get in the way of him/her being a good actor?
