There's a favorite albums of '07 post a few pages back.. wfigs.proboards48.com/index.cgi?board=Wrestling_Figures&action=display&thread=1196872572 Sadly 2007 in the music world wasn't as good as the film world. 10. HANDSOME FURS - "PLAGUE PARK" 9. THE WHITE STRIPES - "ICKY THUMP" 8. MODEST MOUSE - "WE WERE DEAD BEFORE THE SHIP EVEN SANK" 7. FROG EYES - "TEARS OF THE VALEDICTORIAN" 6. KANYE WEST - "GRADUATION" 5. SUNSET RUBDOWN - "RANDOM SPIRIT LOVER" 4. ANIMAL COLLECTIVE - "STRAWBERRY JAM" 3. OF MONTREAL - "HISSING FAUNA, ARE YOU THE DESTROYER?" 2. RADIOHEAD - "IN RAINBOWS" 1. ARCADE FIRE - "NEON BIBLE" Honorable mentions are The National's The Boxer, Dirty Projectors' Rise Above, Jens Lekman's "Night Falls Over Kortedala, Panda Bear's "Person Pitch," Beirut's The Flying Club Cup, Feist's "The Reminder" and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' EP Isis which is better than any of their full albums. Interpol's "Our Love to Admire" is a disappointment, so was their album before this one, but their debut was a masterpiece. They need to go back to their moody roots! I thought with this album they were trying to be too radio friendly since it's their first album on a major label. The single from the album is making them a pretty popular band, good for them, but the song's repetitive crap. Other big disappointments include Bright Eyes (who's trying to be a country singer or some ****), The Shins (truly horrible), Bjork, Shout Out Louds, Akron/Family, Devendra Banhart and The Hives who have been a disappointment for the past 7 years. Albums that were well-recieved by most people that I never got around to listening to thoroughly are Okkervil River, Deerhunter, Kevin Drew, Justice, Andrew Bird, LCD Soundsystem, Liars, Stars, Spoon, Explosions in the Sky, Klaxons and Menomena.

"Memory Almost Full" by Macca wins by default, since it's the only album released this year that I've heard. Though that's not to say it wouldn't be worthy otherwise..

1. Avenged Sevenfold: "Avenged Sevenfold" 2. Sebastian Bach: "Angel Down 3. Bon Jovi: "Lost Highway" 4. Velvet Revolver: "Libertad"
those are the only four albums I bought this year... I enjoy them all to different degrees.

Welcome The Night by The Ataris
When I first heard it I never thought it would be my favorite album of the year but it grew on me over time. The Ataris are a band I grew up on and as they have changed I have as well.

And I was starting to think I was the only person on here that listened to Indie and Folk. I think Stars were great but not solid enough for album of the year. Devendra has not been a disappointment for the past seven years but true his last album wasn't that great. I couldn't agree more with your top four. 4. ANIMAL COLLECTIVE - STRAWBERRY JAM 3. OF MONTREAL - HISSING FAUNA, ARE YOU THE DESTROYER? 2. RADIOHEAD - IN RAINBOWS 1. ARCADE FIRE - NEON BIBLE (I have the vinyl)
