I've always hated them because they were offensive for the sake of being offensive. They weren't really even fun about it. It's why I love the Dwarves. The lead singer (El Duce) got severely drunk in 1997 & ended up getting hit by a train, killing hm instantly. Now THAT was a rock & roll death!

Wasnt that the same guy that said he was paid to kill Kurt Cobain.. not gonna turn this into a kurt cobain thread, this just makes him a little more messed up. Anyways, I watched a Jerry Springer episode with these guys, which also featured GWAR. Heres the difference GWAR- They make fun of everything. Its just parody and its fun to go to. What the has happened to music. The Mentors are from like the late 70s into the 80s. They just came back like in 2000 and really no one cares. The Dwarves song was released in 1990. So your statement is kind of invalid relating to the topic. But still relevant if you watch MTV. |

The mentors are just as much "fake shock" as GWAR. They did do crapon stage, but in the same respect, a lot of their "teenage sex slaves" were college chicks doing the act for some extra cash.
I find them to be pretty amusing, I used to have a few of their cds, not that into the new Mentors.
