I know there are far greater solos in the world but my favorite is the solo in "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer... there's just something about it that I love so much. Something nostalgic.

between the buried and me - "selkies: the endless obsession" ive seen them live twice, and waggoner plays it absolutely flawlessly live too I am so happy someone else said this. Both solos in that song are top notch. Ive yet to hear many bands with guitar work that tight. As for some of my other favorite solos: Sick Sad Little World - Incubus Sweet Child O mine - GNR Like A Stone - Audioslave Second Heartbeat - Avenged Sevenfold Scary Kids Scaring Kids - Snake Devil By the way that first video of paul doing the solo is  ing amazing!!!!! Cannot wait to see them dec 2nd. |

Good picks on Sweet Child O Mine and November Rain. It's solos like that that make me remember how great Slash is as a guitarist and how GnR were once a great band.

"Through the Fire and Flames"-DragonForce that whole song is like a guitar solo haha i saw them perform live back in 06 for my bday at ozzfest haha My favorite guitar solos would be Tom Morello on Killing In The Name and Bulls On Parade(RATM) Vernon Reid on Cult Of Personality(Living Colour) Jimmy Page on Stairway To Heaven(Led Zeppelin) Buckethead on Jordan(Buckethead) East Bay Ray on Police Truck and Holiday In Cambodia(Dead Kennedys) I like the police truck solo because of the sound it has to it... reminds me of like a old surfing video or something |

"Stairway to Heaven" is all-around amazing and the solo that leads into the peak of the song is incredible.
I'm going to give the nod to Orphaned Land's "The Storm Still Rages Inside".
Seriously, check it out. It starts a little after a minute and continues for a long while. I love the part after the silence/vocal section with the ethnic guitar. (I'm terrible with names)
