The Office is easily one of the best shows on TV next to Curb Your Enthusiasm. I started watching it at the end of last season. TBS airing episodes has helped me catch a lot of them.

Him in the ping pong episode and the Dwight Farms episode own all I agree. I'm not saying he's been funnier altogether, but he still has some hilarious episodes. His depression is funny in itself. And don't worry about that other kid, he likes 30 Rock, which is like saying you like SNL from 2003-Present. Which means you like your comedy written by Tina Fey. Which means you would consider Mean Girls a funny movie. I've never seen Mean Girls, so I can't formulate an opinion. You've most likely never seen an episode of 30 Rock, otherwise you would've liked it. 30 Rock also won the Emmy for best comedy. But that's right, awards and ratings don't mean anything to you.

Actually, I watched the entire first season, it just plain wasn't funny.
And no, Awards don't mean anything really. They're given by a select group of people with opinions seperate from mine. By your logic, Brokeback Mountain is a fantastic movie because it won a bunch of Oscars.
Not to mention The Office won Best Comedy Series in 2006, so that means it's also a Best Comedy on TV. And in 2007, Greg Daniels won for Best Comedy Writing for an individual episode. OMG! But there can't be two best shows!
That's becasue they're just awards, given out to recognize the accomplishments of the people invovled. It doesn't mean they're the automatic hands-down best show out there.

It's the best show on TV, but I'm not digging season four much.

Once again I haven't seen Brokeback so I can't judge. Hmm..why would you continue to watch 30 Rock if you didn't like it? Doesn't seem to believable too me. And The Office was a good show. I made that clear. Season 4 is absolutely horrible. 30 Rock is on track to win the Emmy again as there's nothing else even close since Curb was pretty lackluster this season.

It doesn't really matter what you believe or don't, but if you'd like to know why I watched the entire season, I have 5 roommates, and we had one TV in the living room, and on Halloween day they decided to watch their newly purchased 30 Rock DVD set. I sat and watched it with them, giving it a chance every episode. I didn't find any of them to be funny. Again, these are all opinions. I think wrestling is terrible. But most of the people on the forums would disagree with me on that.

Come on, you can't have a pulse if you didn't find Dr. Spaceman funny.
And I'm not sure why you post here if you don't like wrestling. There are better forums to discuss The Office.

The best show on television is The Wire, not any of these things on NBC, but #2 is 30 Rock, anyone who thinks Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin (Who carry the show) are not funny, than they are not American and are lying to themselves. Office is great, first 3 seasons were fantastic at times, this year has been brutal and it is just a matter of time before Steve Carrell realizes he can make 15$ million a movie and say TV

The humor on the show has just dumbed down. From great stuff like Dwight's speech and Andy talking about his high school girlfriend, we now have Dwight talking about stabbing people in the eye with a piece of chalk. Carell has gone downhill too. He usually has about one funny line per episode. "More money more problems. You should know that better than anyone Stanley." "If I don't make it out do me a favor Jim, host the Dundees." And him doing the Eddie Murphy impression are the only things off the top of my head I can remember. Creed is the only character who's just as good as he was last year.

I post solely in the Lounge and Entertainment forums, and I post here because I've been doing so for 6 years exactly on December 24th and I enjoy my chats with many people here. And no, I didn't find Dr. Spaceman funny. Or the Werewolf Bar Mitzvah. Because they weren't funny. But I can understand how they can make simple people laugh. OMG he's a werewolf..but jewish! HA HA HA! omg so funny! And yes Ralpho, The Wire is the single greatest show to ever exist. That doesn't change the fact that you like a stupid show after that though.
