Look at each system and the games for it. Whatever system has more games you want, ask for that one. I own both a Wii and a Ps3 and they are great systems.

I had a Wii and got tired of it. Didn't like flickering my wrist after a while and the lack of features on some of the multi-system games got annoying. Cool thing about the Wii is the obvious Nintento exclusives. I have a 60gb PS3 and love it. Definitely do some research on the pros and cons of each system.

I have an X-Box 360 and a Wii and have no desire to own a PS3. If you already have a 360, I'd opt for the alternative gaming experience in the Wii. I see no reason to own a 360 and a PS3 unless you simply have extra oney to spend - for the most part, they get the exact same games and the 360 versions end up better. Microsoft's exclusives are also far superior to the Sony's.
I like my Wii, but its still far inferior to the 360.

There is no point in having a Xbox 360 and a Ps3, because they both offer similar expieriences. The Wii is lots of fun, you just need the good games.

PS3 is way better. Wii is not even HD. I have all 3 systems and PS3 is the best of them all. It has the best games by far!

Just take a look at the games themselves and see what is worth more to you? You don't want to buy a system for just 1 game because it seems like a waste. It really depends on your game tastes, what games are you into? That should better decide that.

Either way, it has some amazing looking games. HD is overrated anyway. I personally love my Wii and I usually play it more than my 360. I'd say that you buy a 360 if you don't have one, then go for a Wii. The only reason to own a 360 and a PS3 is if you want cheap HD-DVD and Blu-Ray players.

No, the best you can get out of the Wii is 480p, while standard TV resolution is 480i....which honestly, to a laymen means nothing, but 480p is a noticeable difference in color and clarity, but it's still only 480 lines of resolution. But it doesn't matter, when you hook up component cables, the artwork on the the best looking Wii games a beautiful. What they lack in definition, games like Mario or Metroid or even something like Zack and Wiki or Super Paper Mario more than make up for in artistic direction.
No one here can give you an answer, you have to decide yourself. Everyone has their own preference to gaming. Me? I'm a well rounded gamer, I couldn't function without owning both a Wii AND one of the other two. In my case it's a 360(and other various consoles from previous generations). For every Mario and Zack and Wiki and Wario Ware title I play, I also want to play an Assassins Creed, Bioshock, Orange Box or Rock Band.

as said so much times before. the best combo is a wii and 360. if you have a 360 get a Wii. i love my Wii, plus the games are around the same price as PS2 games so its good, you get the occasional new release $100AUD game but thats just because its brand new.

I have yet to get a PS3, that's something I'm saving for after the holidays. I'd feel like such a piece of s**t if I bought myself a PS3 and then ran out of money to get presents for my friends and family. But I do have a Wii and a 360 and to be honest, my 360 hasn't been used as much more than a gigantic DVD player recently. It's been nothing be Wii for this guy. BTW, you can get some REALLY cheap HD and Blu-Ray movies on eBay; both new and used. I've seen several auctions with ending bids that are much cheaper than what regular DVDs retail for.

Everyone has a different answer, and everyone will defend their answer because they pretty much love their choice.
Me, I'll always be a Sony fan, and I'll always defend Sony, because the old-school PlayStation gave me some of my greatest moments in gaming, and it made me the ultra-RPG-fan that I am right now. The PS2 continued a line of great games, and I think the PS3 will follow soon. With the price reduction and finally getting some good games under its belt, the PS3 can only improve.
In the end, it's your choice. Do some research, because whether we like it or not, our opinions are always going to be biased (that's what makes them opinions), and regular research isn't biased, as most of it is simply stating the workings of the system.

I own a wii, and find that much more enjoyable, as it's alternative to sitting on my arse playing PS3. Personally, Wii's are my cup of tea.

I've honestly never played God of War, but it would take a hell of a lot more than one exclusive to get me to buy a PS3, if I wasn't planning on buying one just for the Blu-Ray player.

Ok dude i know God of War is an excellent game but i need to fix this up a little. Halo>God of War> Xbox exclusives
