When it comes to my favorite DVD cover I've done, I don't know if I like this or my "The Departed" more.

What's up buddy, Thought I'd drop by and see what was going on, glad to see you're still designing. I'm really liking the cover, the only thing I would edit is on the back. The main Clive pictures' lighting on the right half of him makes it look out of place, and further hurts the Julian moore picture behind it making it look out of place as well. Great picture selection, blending and text work otherwise.

i like them both a lot. i'm not sure about the "clive owen, julianne moore and michael caine" text on the children of men one. good pic choices and a nice layout. as for the fountain one, i'm not really feeling the main hugh jackman pic, looks a little blurry or something. colors are good, as is the blending and text. you should have the pi symbol instead of just the word "pi" too.

I came looking for some great graphics, and started to get extremely worried. This is probably my fourth visit in the past month, and I've been sent away disappointed.
IN MAL WE TRUST. Class act as always Mal. I love both of these graphics. Just what I was looking to see!
The Children of Men has a really unique texture to it. Grungy, but still with a smooth touch to it. I think the colour scheme is brilliant and the stenciled, spray-paint look is fantastic. I think the font is my only qualm with the graphic. I love it. Completely unique, and knowing you: completely suiting to the themes and aesthetic of the movie. But I think the 'm' and 'n' get a touch beyond recognition for someone who doesn't know the movie. It's more an issue of functionality over aesthetics. Also, Julianne Moore just seems oddly placed, as a very small image above Clive's shoulder. Minor, but just seems like a strange move for the conventions of DVD covers.
Very appealing graphic, and professionally done as usual (or as usually was the case in my memory of your work!).
The colour and depth of The Fountain case is fantastic. I enjoy the range of yellow hues you have and there is a great theme throughout the graphic. The top banner that spans across the front and back cover is brilliant. The main image on the cover is intimidating and intense, creates a good atmosphere for the whole work. You do a fantastic job of using a similar convention in many of your DVD cases, that being the horizontal break-up of the back cover, and still keeping an original look. If I had made a quicker comment, I may have criticized the horizontal break-up in both graphics. But your artistic skill quickly dissolves anything I could say. You make it hardly recognizable, and fitting to the graphic. The break-up doesn't seem forced or a convention at all, but natural and fitting to the movie's aesthetic quality.
Great work Mal! It's stuff like this that would make me come back to WF Forums once and a while.
Hope you're doing well! Hope everyone is doing well.
Seems like my good friend Gino was doing just the same!
And I had no idea PID was still around these parts!
Good to see you crazy cats.

Gino and ArchInDrublic in the same thread? I need an oxygen tank.
I was waiting for someone like Archie to come along in this thread and articulate what I was thinking that well, so I wouldn't have to do all that typing. Thanks, bud.
Great stuff, Pat.
