I ordered the Ric Flair package off spam.com- advertised as MOC RA14( suit), RA20( black), PPV13( red), & CS9 for $20.
Today I get the package in the mail and I see that instead of RA20, there's his Royal Rumble 2002 figure. I look on the receipt and they crossed off RA20 and wrote " Sold out, put a sub Flair in".
Now..are they allowed to do this without my consent? Technically I'd imagine they should offer to refund 1/4th of my money since 1/4th of the package is sold out. Or just offer to refund the whole thing. But to just do that without any notice just seems..ehh.
I've always liked his Rumble figure, but I would have definitely wanted the RA20 more. I mean..it's RA compared to TTL...

I'd be a little pissed to if that happened to me. I think you should call them and see if they will be getting anymore instock, which the probably wont since it's an older series, but you could try.

i would be pissed and dont think its acceptable...Id let them know what they did and demand a refund or replacement. If you really want to be an ass (professionally) tell them if they cant handle the situation in a professional manor that you will bring it up with the BBB (Better Business Buearu) Companies fear that place

I would ask for the money back because that's not what you paid for. It's a good figure but RA is way better.

no, it's cant be aceptable as they change the deal without noticing you... any ways, this fig is still in stock in israel (in 20-15$ like all the figs in israel, but i can get it propbly W/O the belt from a cheap store as i and my friend bought it separetly )and it's not that good... i meen the PPV 13 is better and it has better ties and better accessory...

That is not acceptable and very poor business practices on their part. They should've notified you and gave you the option to either cancel the order or take 25% off like you said. It's not like they even substituted it for a better figure.

I would e-mail them back saying your not happy about the situation. I wouldnt be happy. Especially since they didnt approve first with the buyer.

You might want to read their policy and business information because I know some businesses write that if the item isn't available, the company can substitute another item of similar nature. However, they should have notified you about the out of stock Flair and given the decision to you.
I would email/phone them your feelings and maybe you can sort this whole matter out. But on the bright side, if you'd like a RA 20 Ric Flair I'm pretty sure I'd be able to easily find one for you as RA 20 is warming the shelves around me.

that happened to me from spam once before too. I ordered R3-1 Kane, but they sent me Raw Draft Kane. But it's basically the same figure so I didn't really care.
They should email you first really to check.

i order a eddie and jericho figure of the web last month. and before they sended the package they told me that were sold out of jericho and ask me if i wanted another figure or my refund.

I would complain saying you "already have that fig / don't want that fig" and want a store credit, see what they say

it's happened to me with an X-Pac figure. They do it and will only fix it by having you send them the figure back and they will send you whatever you want of equal or lesser value. The shipping you pay to send the figure to them is not refunded to you and is your loss to exchange the figures.

This happened to me before (not with RSC) they sent me my ordered one along with a replacement one i didn't order as they were out of stock. As soon as they recieved the other figure in stock they sent it in the post and i got an extra figure due to the figure i ordered not being in stock at the time.
