Oh My God, you were absent one day, where they accidentally mixed it up. Dude, you make it sound like you are automatically gonna get in so much trouble. It was one day, and you're not in any trouble. Just go to school like you're supposed to now. That's not really the point. THEY messed up. He shouldn't be in any trouble, regardless of how insignificant it is, because of their mistake. But see, he's not in trouble, it's just like he was sick and missed a day of school, he gets marked absent. Just show up the next day and go regularly again.

He got some kind of a warning thing, and if he gets three he has to go to a Saturday detention. This one absence shouldn't count towards that.

Not the schools fault he didnt answer the phone. Actually, yeah, it kinda is. Because of their mistake, he was under the impression that he had a longer break so they went on holiday. It's their fault. I'm sure that school has several employees, do you mean to tell me that they couldn't have asked at least one person to proofread it?

Can schools make you go to school on a Saturday? Im sorry, I live about thirty seconds away from my school and I would still tell them to go suck it... No one interupts my weekend sleeping time. you must not be a high schooler. In High School when you do something like break a strict rule thats always enforced (like no jeans with holes), they can give you a saturday detention. Which for us, is 4 hours long starting at like 7am. If you decide not to go, they suspend you for 2 days, and give you another. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. So you have no choice but to serve it, or get expelled eventually from so many suspentions.

I am in my last 10 weeks of school before I enter the big old bad world out there so I am most certinaly a High Schooler. But I guess the rules can be different in the United Kingdom from the United States. We have School Uniform so there isn't a chance of me being given a detention over ripped jeans.

That is awful, I had saturday school for skipping a class and a program at my old school. I really did not want to hear a drug rant, and did not give a about going to health class, so yeah I was in the bath room with several friends skipping with me. Two boys, and three girls, yeah thats right our girl friends. But that is another story, well we had to go to school on Saturday, ha did my work, and then played ing Mario!!! But then the teacher took my DS oh well I got it back later.
