File your taxes and make less than 75,000. But more than....I really don't remember, but if you've had a job all year you've made enough.

Seeing as I quit my job at DQ, and then work for about a month at Geek Squad, and then started for Kroger in August, after I was done with High School, and had started college. EDIT: If you made more than 3,000. Which I did. So no worries here.

I just read. You had to have made more than 3 grand. Which really is just a few months depending on your states minimum wage and you make that.

I'm hoping to do real well with taxes this year. I pay more out of my paychecks to get more back from my taxes. With the combination of that, the rebate check (which I'll get because I made enough this year), & the write off's for my photo jobs, I'm going to put away some much needed cash into my bank account

If you want more money back at the end of year you're much better off setting up your account or pay check to automatically deduct x number of dollars into a savings account or investment account. At the end of the year you get the same ammount of money you'd get from the government but you get to pocket the interest it's earned during the year.

I'm getting some good write offs because I'm contract labor. Don't forget about charity. Any crap you drop off at a Hannah Home or anywhere else is a write off.

Doing what he said does, however, prevent him from having to potentially pay into taxes. At least he knows he WILL get a check...

I just saw something on Headline News say the checks have dropped to $500 for single people and $1000 for couples.
