I used to think that tagging was vandalism and the 3D characters was art until some friends that do it told me and these were his words "It goes from a little Tag to a Little Bomb, From a Little Bomb to a little Piece, From a little Piece to a little mural, It all starts from the little tag". He also told me that it is "Graffiti Law" to not do it on peoples homes and shops and stuff.

it is vandilism. but all these guys have such talent, why don't they buy a piece of plywood and do this stuff on that. then they can sell it for some cash. and how does somebody do a mural like that without the cops catching him

The murals are usually asked for by the people who own the property and the artists get paid quite a bit as i takes them awhile to do one. |

As long as it's nothing gang related or someone just being an acehole putting obscene things up there, it really makes boring old cement something nice.

I'd say it's art... if it looks good.
People just writing scribble on a wall, without knowing what they're doing with a can, shouldn't pick one up to begin with. As long as it isn't ugly, I dig the hell out of it.

I really hate tags, it looks like crapmost of the time, but I love well done graffiti.
I going to say depending weather or not it's permitted where they do it, I'd call it ......Artistic Vandalism.
