Thousand Oaks -- Imagine tearing into a holiday present to find a PlayStation 3 box... with a phone book sealed inside! That's what happened to 13-year-old Brandon Burns Christmas morning. He says he laughed about it when it happened. His parents... not so much, since they spent $500 for the PS3. According to a spokesperson for the store involved, the matter has since been resolved.
how are they going to prove the phone bbok was inside the book befoe it was opeaned

Reminds me of the time my friend who works at GameStop put a some doll they had and some pop cans bubble wrapped together in a Wii box and put it on the bench outside their store. Someone took it and came back complaining later there wasn't actually a Wii inside.

He probably found it earlier and started playing the PS3. Then Christmas day, forgot to rewrap the PS3 thus the phone book wrapped under the tree was still there.

That is really funny actually. I would be like " WTF? Thanks a lot mom and dad." And if someone says to me on here that is selfish, phonebooks are free What is there to be grateful for?

I would not be laughing. I would probably freak out and wonder where the f*ck my PS3 is.

It was probably his parents way of saying "Here, get a god damn job and buy your own PS3, you little prick".

It wasn't done as a joke by the parents. They claim to have been ripped off. I'm a little skeptical of this myself, it kinda sounds like a scam to me. But then again, similar things have been happening for years.

Maybe his parents are like mine, they put gifts in weird boxes. I got a DVD burner this year in a big box for smaller boxes of crackers.
