Damn man, I hope you stay strong and live every day of your life to the fullest. I know it will be difficult, but try to keep that 18-24 month time frame off your mind and just enjoy your life for what it is. Thanks for the advice, too.

That's the saddest thing I've ever read on here, probably. I really do hope you get better, because more often than not, those predictions on how long you have to live are wrong. They're just that: predictions. Some things you just can't predict.
I can't say I agree with your message, though. You say this now, in spite of the cancer and the stroke, but what would you have said before? I choose not to "live my life to the fullest" because I'd rather "live my life how I want it to be lived." Living every day like it may be your last is ridiculous because nobody can predict death. I'm not gonna go out and wake up at 4AM to go fishing, then go skydiving, then pick a handful of movies off my "100 movies I need to see before I die" list, and do a number of equally crazy things every day for the rest of my life.
Honestly, I sleep all day. I'm sorry if that's not living my life to its "fullest," but it's how I want it to be lived. End of story.
In the end, even though I disregarded your theme here, I do feel bad for you. Nobody at age 30 should have to put up with this sort of ****. I think a better theme would be, don't take your prostate for granted. Since there's a lot of guys on here, we should all get tested.

Holy shit.
I'm so sorry.
I loved debating with you. It was great.
Don't give up. Fight hard. Kick cancer's ass. I know you can do it.

I don't think we've had any kind of affiliation so I won't burden you with incoherent babble.
Cancer is no joke and I'm sure my grandmother on my mom's side, who I never got to know, had it and sadly passed.
But as has been said, it's better to have it spotted and gone after, than to never know till family and other loved ones find out.
Just keep will to live in your heart, not because you fear death, but because in life you still have a purpose.

Yes, because the less sleep one gets, the more mature they are. Breathtaking logic, sport. Judging by your signature, I don't really think you have any position to tell me to "grow up," anyway.

First of all, guys, all the support makes me feel really good. It just goes to show how good you all are. A couple of things. One, I'm not dead yet. I'm still here. I'll still be here when the sun comes up tomorrow, at least. It is going to be a damn fight, but that's alright. Two, the allusion to "Scrubs" was totally intentional. When I was first given the news, that was the first song I thought of. "I can't do this all on my own, I'm no Superman." It completely fit to me. Besides, I thought it might make some of the other fans smile, even with the content of the message within. You all be good, and when good things happen, believe me, I'll be screaming it from the rooftops. But, I also wanted to get the situation out there. I hope you guys understand that.

Remember my friend, neither you nor a doctor will decide when you go. That is in the hands of the good lord. Live life to the fullest and everyday (no matter who you are) like its your last. I hope everything turns out well for you. My prayers will be with you.

That is possibly the greatest advice I have ever heard. I will hold on to that for the rest of my life.
Like others have said, stay strong, dude. Live life to the fullest.

As some of you might have noticed, I have not posted here in awhile. There is a very good, solid reason for that. On December 21st, I had a stroke. Yes, I had a stroke at the age of 30. It was minor, and I was fortunate in that it did not affect me as badly as it would someone the age of our grandparents, but I am still recovering and I am now on thirteen drugs a day. The cause of this was my blood pressure was running 220+ over 110+ for extended periods of time. This was mostly due to stress and whatnot, but all the same, this is what happened and I did not get out of the hospital until the Friday following Christmas. Yeah, I spent Christmas in the hospital. w00! Oh, but it gets better. While I was in the hospital, I was the recipient of a full on physical with no expense spared, because they wanted to see what all contributed to the stroke. Now, I had been experiencing this other problem that I had neglected to see a doctor about for months. Well, of course this was checked out as well. I'll skip ahead to yesterday to what I was told. I've been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, of an aggressive nature. I've been told that I have a life expectancy of 18 to 24 months. Did I mention I am 30? Look, guys, I'm not posting this in search of a pity party, please do not get me wrong. Anything could happen in the next year and a half to two years. I could get hit by a bus tomorrow. No, the point of this is to tell you that you should never, ever assume you have all the time in the world. You never know what Fate has planned around the corner for you. Don't sit around waiting for life to happen, my friends. You've got to reach out, grab onto it with both hands and hang on for all you're worth. Don't put anything off for tomorrow. Be a smarter person than I was and for the love of God, do not take anything for granted. That's all, guys. That's everything I've got to say. Keep your head up man. And hopefully everyone here took the time to read your post. You're superman in my book.

wow, thats a kick in the ass eh? fight the cancer man. sucks you're going thru this at a young age. 30's still young, not right. my uncle was diagnosed with cancer when he was 20, and was told the same thing, he didnt have more than 3 years, he lived until he was in his 50's, so there's still hope for you man. Anyways, just keep believing and fighting.

That sucks man. Do you mind telling us what the other problem was that you were neglecting going to the doctor for? Maybe someone else on here is suffering from the same thing but putting off going to the doc because they think it's nothing big.

I have never talked to you or recollected with you before this, but my God I got emotional when I read that.
I really hope you beat it out man. Don't let the doctor's control your time-frame. Don't let cancer come and ruin it. You can beat it out bro. You will be in my prayers each and every night.
