I will be getting a 360 for Christmas, but i really want to buy Xbox live really bad, however the only way for me to do it is have my 360 in the living room next to my computer, the only problem is my parents do not want it in there because they are afraid i will be a TV hog,
How can i convince them please help?!

Why not buy a wireless router and a wireless adaptor for your XBox 360, so you can hook it up on any TV?

Do you have a TV in your room?
Then add 'Go wireless.' to your christmas list.

See The wireless would be nice but it is getting a connection might be a problem since i am upstairs, also i am trying to be generous and not make them shell out $100, bad enough they paid $500 total after buying the 360,

I have my computer upstairs using a USB adapter to connect to my router which is downstairs. There is absolutely no problem at all. Most routers can stretch their signal to about 100ft.

Just deal with not having XBOX Live for now and save your money to get the wireless router. I don't have XBOX Live (I have no interest in online gaming at the moment) and I have enjoyed my 360 since launch day.

The whole point of wireless is so you can be down or upstairs from your wireless connection.

Wireless routers are $20-$30...I'm sure you can earn enough to get one. If not, watch porn on the computer and fiddle yourself while the family's in the living room. Eventually they'll go "ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT! JUST GO DO THAT IN YOUR ROOM!" and give in.
