I hope Mccain wins. I met the man while attending Grand Funk Railroad concert a few months back. He is a nice man and has a wonderful story of his life.

Note that it never says a religious person can't hold public office. Nor does it say that you can't pass laws based on religious principles. (I'm not saying that's the best way to legislate, I'm just saying it's a perfectly legal way to legislate.) Are we saying flat out that they shouldn't be allowed to hold public office? No, we are saying that they are probably not the best people to have as leaders. -CMD

I don't want any of the current people running to win. I would prefer someone who actually has their own ideas, and is not just running on what we assume their values are based on their party affiliations. Someone who isn't beholden to investors, financial backers, and party affiliations. Someone who actually has the balls to say, here is what I think, and why, as opposed to just dancing the line on everything, trying to please everyone, while not actually saying anything, or committing to anything. Policital parties have ruined our country, and are a way to get stupid people to vote.

That would represent the majority of America.

My main point is really that political parties should be abolished. You should have to vote for someone based on their own merits, not because they choose to affiliate themselves with a particular group. The majority of voters just vote for whichever party they think represents them best, when in actuality, the parties just represent themselves. Political parties just make voters dumb and lazy. Unfortunately, they are so powerful, it's the only way to win. But according to www.dehp.net/candidate/index.php I should vote for Rudy....

While they do cater to the Moral Majority for the most part, they should serve all Americans. And if they try to make laws favoring Christians, we will obviously get the aformentioned ACLU all over their asses. -CMD

Huckabee said that being gay is a public health risk and we need to isolate AIDS patients. He said that a woman's job is to serve her husband. I'm voting for Huckabee.

Forget who you are voting for. Forget whether you vote party lines. Whether you're a republican. A democrat. Or other-wise... Hell, forget if you're even old enough to vote. If you had to put your chips down on who you feel will be President in '09? (winning the 2008 election) Me, I'm really expecting Obama to win. I just sense it, and I dunno why, maybe even a part of me feels people would rather except a black man before a woman of any ethnicity. But I'd bet money Obama's support isn't gonna die down 10 months from now. As for personal choice, I'd rather see Hilary. I think she could be incomparable, and Bill would be an excellent asset outside of her Cabinet. Hilary is the devil! If she wins.....I move to Canada.
