I liked the memorial they have there. It's kinda eerie looking into the water and seeing a sunken ship.

Pretty sad, I forgot about this actually. R.I.P to all who have fought.

I wonder if they mourn for pearl harbor in Japan, all those pilots that died in the attack. War is a funny thing, either side can be the bad guy just depends where you live.

I can only hope 9-11 gets the same treatment as Pearl Harbor in 60 years. No need dwell, just move on.

I can only hope 9-11 gets the same treatment as Pearl Harbor in 60 years. No need dwell, just move on. What it ammounts to is people have forgotten Pearl Harbor and we are now on friendly terms with the Japs. Perhaps in 60 years we'll have defeated terrorism and figured out a way to live in peace. Then again, we'll probably have found someone else to fight with by then.

I can only hope 9-11 gets the same treatment as Pearl Harbor in 60 years. No need dwell, just move on. It already has. 9/11 comes up everyday and it happened over six years ago.

Has anyone here seen Letters from Iwo Jima? This film defines Tony's point perfectly. It's a huge awaking, that were all victims of war and at the core of the human spirit were all the same.

I actually watched a show on the History Channel yesterday, where they interviewed some of the pilots who are still alive, and they were made at their government, because they were supposed to send out a Declaration of War to the US, before the attack, and never did, and they were upset that they took part in a sneak attack.

Wow, way not to understand what I was saying. I was hoping that, much like Pearl Harbor, in 60 years we won't be mentioning 9-11 but once a year.

On the opposite side, the pilot that bombed Hiroshima died recently... and felt absolutely no remorse and never apologized, even though the rest of everyone involved had.
