Based on your usage of the word "their", I'm gonna say school isn't exactly your thing to begin with.

Wow, my school was a 'Sports College' which means you must do sport and we never had to do anything like this.

My schools PE is quite fun. It's a mixture of Basketball, Badminton, Tennis, Football, Rugby and Running. All of which I like, apart from running long distances kills me. My lungs can't handle it, ah well, I managed to get through year 9, 10 and now I've done the cross country run in year 11, it's clear sailing.

not to be a dick, but you didn't actually do the 20 laps so why would you expect to get credit for it? kids these days are too f'n soft. i know you tried your best and all that and had a legitimate cramp & those do hurt like a sonofabitch, but you could've toughed out 2 more laps. it would have been painful, but worth it. i played basketball in highschool and we had to sprint around constantly & i would be in horrible pain with my calves cramping up and pain in my side, feeling like i was gonna vomit and all that s**t, but we had to keep going till we were done. there was no option but to keep going cuz if someone was **** enough to quit or even let up any significant amount the coaches would work them even harder at the end. it wouldn't have killed you to finish it, so you don't really have the right to complain about it being bs cuz it's not.

I love the fact that all the people in this thread think they're soooooo hard because they've done "much worse" than swimming 2 laps with a cramp. I'm sure it ing hurts. Lay off the kid. So you have rewards for doing work in PE? Wow are you all like mutant human/dog combinations? Getting rewards for doing normal behavior. Stupid. Get over it. Try doing swimming class when you can't swim or running for an entire class period(as your final) when you have asthma. Both present really big challenges. I got through both, I can swim better but not enough to save my life. You couldn't swim in high school? Some babies learn to swim before they walk.

I'm not giving him s**t because he got a cramp, I'm giving him s**t because he's bitching about not getting rewarded. He had to swim 20 laps to get rewarded and he didn't finish, therefore he doesn't get his reward. That's life.

That's life. yeah, that's the point. he either needs to man up & finish or quit complaining about not getting his "reward" for not finishing. my only point about doing things that have been harder is that it's not going to kill him & he's acting like it's an incredible injustice that he didn't get his reward because he chose to quit something that he could have done if he really wanted to. i'm not trying to give him a hard time, that's just the way it is.

I had to do swimming in primary school and i liked it apart from having to wear swimming hats....I hated it because the reason for waering was because some girl drowned in a school by getting her hair caught in one of the drain things in pools so everyone had to wear a hat....I hated it because i had short hair and so did all the other boys so....
I wish i did swimming though in secondary school....would be something not so boring

I don't think I would want to play basketball or dodgeball after running two miles...

No, we don't even have a pool. Just because she said okay doesn't mean you finished your work.

I managed to pass an examination on swimming though so i guess i'm not too bad...I could not swim to save my life or anyone elses life though.
