I still have one and I use it sometimes. Not as much as I used to since I have a DVD player which I mostly use.

I have 3 VCR's. I have two that's hooked into each other, for back in the day when I would rent either want to copy a tape to another tape, and now have a VCR hooked into my DVD Recorder, for I can convert all my VHS tapes into DVD's. I use my VCR all the time, to record WWE & TNA still.

2, one for big screen and one for my room. though they are duel, vhs/dvd players.
Have an old van, the winter rat, that's got a vhs and tv in it.
They are still useful for burning some thing off the DVR.

I use it all the time, mostly to record wrestling shows.
Not that I record for posterity...I just can't always guarantee I'll stay awake.

I actually own four working VCRs, three of which are hooked up. I'm in the (incredibly tedious) process of converting my VHS collection to DVD, so I can save space by throwing out the original VHS... except for the original Coliseum Videos and such, which go on eBay.
Other than that, I have a few store-bought VHS movies that won't convert to DVD due to copy protection, and that's about the only other reason why I still own VCRs. I have two DVD recorders and TiVo, so VHS is a distant last resort when I need to record or copy something.

I have one hooked up to my small, dial-surfing TV. I use it to watch old movies, like The Goonies that I bought a while back when DVD was for Gods and rich people.
