I've been into writing poetry for years. I truly have no idea how I got into it but it's such a peaceful way to express all of your inner thoughts and emotions. I was just curious to see if anyone else on this forum does any kind of writing?
This is my latest one that I wrote a few hours ago:
Life Is Like a Game of Chess:
Every move you make could become fatal..
Everything you do involves strategy
I've gotten to the final stages of my game or so it seems.
As my opponent called life is about to call checkmate
I slide my pawn just one more space..
Life is like a game of chess
As I see my opponent move in for the kill..
I move my final pawn and jolt with a thrill
I say to life I would like to have my queen
I've finally gotten my queen in this chess game called life.
Life is like a game of chess
The stage is set for the final battle.
The King, My queen against his king and his rook
I look deep into his eyes and prepare for the finish
I make my final move and call Checkmate.
It's obvious, Without my queen I would have lost
But she saved me at any and all costs.

i write poems/stories alot i usually work well with depression
-Look through my eyes-
Take a look through my eyes
Tell me what you see
A Million people exatcly like me
Put up with thick and thin
Hopeing one day to be there agian
Take a look through my eyes
Can you see the agony
I see me
Hide my pain with a smile
In front of a mirror
You see me stand
Holding back the tears
I hear a distant noise
I turn around only to see
Im all alone its just me
I have a whole lot more

Same as ever.
Took a dump,
Pulled the lever.

The water flowed.

No, sorry, I'm not gay. Your poetry sucks BTW.
edit: Oh, and if a game of Chess came down to a Rook and a King against a Queen and a King, it would be a draw. Neither side could win with that setup.

I've tried my hang at song writing, but nothing I'm too proud of yet. Anything I write pales in comparison to Tiny Dancer anyway, which is the greatest  ing song ever, and even better when you're drunk. |

Anything I write pales in comparison to Tiny Dancer anyway, which is the greatest ing song ever, and even better when you're drunk. That is 100% true, I sang this with my friends about 9 times tonight since we could only find one CD worth listening to. |

I won a story writing competition in 5th grade, but never did anything with it, unfortunately.
I have been writing a script for a little independent movie for about 6 months now.

I don't write poems, but I do write stories sometimes. Like a few years ago, I wrote a story about ants taking over Earth. It was pretty cool.

I only wrote poetry & short stories when I had a creative writing course in high school. All my stuff was crap anyway.

nah, but seriously I used to write poems a few years ago, but just stopped. I also used to enjoy writing my own made up stories for fun.
I'd like to one day write a script for a movie or something.
tbh, LFTM the poem wasn't bad, I liked it.

I write constantly, tiz my passion.
I have, if not finished something, tried my hand at
Short Stories(written many)
Poetry(A constant, but not so much anymore)
Blogging(depends, I do it sometimes for amusement)
Rants(Just to get crapoff my chest)
Roleplaying in WFWF(consistent thing in my life)
Novel writing(currently a work in progress)
Script Writing(about 1/4 of the way done on my first)
Biography(Working on one about my father)
Theories, Philosophy, and Dreams(I have many of my own thoughts and keep as many of them as I can down on paper somewhere or in my head for organizing before I put them down)
ect....such as movie reviews, book reviews, some news articles when I feel like I really want to....
Currently am unpublished but have made lil effort to get published as of yet. I am wanting my first piece to be a novel so that is what I am working towards.
