I don't smoke. Let people smoke, they can learn the hard way.

I don't smoke, though it doesn't bother me if people do.

I honestly feel that a non-smoker's right to breathe relatively clean air outweighs a smoker's "right" to smoke wherever they want. It sure is nice being able to go out to eat now without having to worry about non closed off smoking sections, but it may as well be null and void when the smokers outside are practically in the door way.
Otherwise - I'm 22. My father-n-law to be is 57, and just received news this past weekend that for all the suffering through chemo, biopsys, and such related to his lung cancer, he has roughly two months to live. 57 is much too young to die, and quite frankly, at 22, I've barely accomplished all I want to in life, and I doubt that only 35 years will allow me to do so.
For all you smokers, I won't try to shove down your throats what you already hear from Truth and all that, but consider this: my father-in-law to be has four daughters: my fiance (26), her oldest sister (24), and two young sisters (15 and 13). The youngest one has had thirteen years to become truly aquainted with her father, six of which were spent on bi-weekly visits due to divorce.
Forget all the personal risks: think of your families, or the ones you may have one day. Nick may not live to see his two oldest daughters get married next year, let alone see his youngest even make it to graduate high school.
That, to me, is reason enough to avoid smoking.

I don't smoke and I don't care if anyone else does. It's their decision.

I've noticed that smokers tend to spit a lot, and I think that's pretty disgusting.

Once again, badnewz has no idea what he is talking about? Name one thing that still exists to accommodate smokers. It's illegal virtually everywhere. Hell... in many places there are talks of banning people from smoking in their own cars. I've even heard of a couple places banning smoking outside altogether, even personal property. Whatever man, in my opinion nothing shoud be done to accomidate smokers and it should be banned. So even if there are only a few things around, its too much. Its a horrible habit to have and is the very reason i have the lung conditions that i have now(my mother smoked like a chimney while pregnant). But nah, I dont know what i'm talking about as i never do according to you. And notice you said talks of banning smoking. Its not gonna happen, not any time soon.

i dont like it and i dont plan on doing it ever and i hate when people blow smoke into my face, even if it isnt on purpose, but by no means should it be banned. people should smoke if they want to. i dont think it should be abused the way my sister abuses it and people should be polite about it such as dont smoke around people who dont want you to, but people should be allowed to do what they want without people stopping them.

I don't do it. Never have. Never will. But I don't have anything against those who do. It's their life. As long as they are clean with it and don't do it around me in an enclosed space I don't care what they do.

Personally i believe that there are too many things that are done nowadays to accomidate* smokers. are you serious? where the hell do you live? if anything, its the exact opposite. and it bothers me in some respects, i mean smokers are people too. im all for splitting it apart, but if someone wants to light up a boge after downing a $50 dollar steak and doesnt feel like walking outside into the frigid february heat, then i feel there should a place for them to do it. as long as its out of the way of whoever is going to bitch about it, and that DOESNT always necessarily be assumed as outside. im a casual smoker...im not and never was addicted, per say, i only really like to have cigarettes when im drinking, which is usually only on the weekends. but if i happen to have a pack on me im not opposed to letting loose. as far as people smoking around me, i dont really have a problem with it. i mean, its not welcoming or anything, but i think people are stupid to throw fits over it.

That's exactly how i feel. I'm against banning smoking in indoor places like restaurants and bars. I don't see the problem with having a section designated for smokers. And with bars, in a bar full of people I've noticed that usually at least 70 percent of them are smokers, and the ones who are not are usually friends with smokers so they're not overly bothered by it. I used to smoke on occasion, but have stopped that now.. and like you said, being around smoking isn't welcoming but it isn't irritating enough for me to really be bothered.

I'm asthmatic, any smoke kinda screws me over. My friends smoke, I don't. I mainly feel it's a waste of money. The money people spend on them could easily go to other things that won't kill you over time. Every time cigarettes are brought up people bring up pot. I know what it can and can't do, I've done research, seen educational films, etc. I honestly just think it smells like ass, it makes me throw up.
