Not sure why this is surprising everyone. Its suprising to me because it is so close to home. When you see it on TV its one thing, but when it is at a campus I've regularly visited its surreal. On a happier note, I talked to most of my friends who attend NIU today, most of them came back home. Exactly. It may not be big to some people, because it wasn't as big as like V-Tech. But for us, it was so close (well, one hour away, but alot of my family went there in the 80s - 90s) to Chicago citizens that it just was shocking.

I doubt that it really shocked many citizens of Chicago. Once you've lived there long enough not much really comes off as surprising or shocking.

I mean, I haven't heard anything through connections with the WBC and NIU.Nevermind, saw on their site. I'd love for them to come and protest, I'd walk down to NIU and

I left at 6am this morning. I didn't want to be there; not many people did. The rest of the people there were kicking the WBC's asses all night, sooo, good for them.
School is canceled "indefinitely." What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Damn, I wanted to kick some Pehlps family ass.

I doubt that it really shocked many citizens of Chicago. Once you've lived there long enough not much really comes off as surprising or shocking. Are you serious?
