This week, we celebrate Arthur Ashe Jr, one of the Greatest Tennis Players.  Arthur Ashe was born in Richmond, Virginia but was only allowed to play on Blacks only courts. Arthur also loved Tennis He over came that when he became not only the first African American to on the Davis Cup team, be he was also the first black to win the US Open and to win a Grand Slam event. Off court, Ashe is remembered most for his efforts to further social cause. That is why, we remember the great Author Ashe Jr. as not only a great Tennis Player by a social leader |

Not to sound negative. Outside of Oprah, and the other rich black people does anybody really care about Black History Month?

Honestly...The only month I would care about would be the one nicknamed "I Get to be Smushed between Two Hotties Month"

well i know this thread is not about caring about black history month or not, but i do care about it. i didn't learn sh*t about it in school. the only thing i learned about was how black people were slaves, all hispanics were immigrants, and asians worked in mines. then i learned how europeans ruled everything. then the bell would ring and i would go to lunch. so thanx for posting this because i like history period. so thanx for a piece of history
