After Jakks lost the license, I was out on collecting. I remember going to Kmart and seeing all of the Mattel legends just rot away on pegs. They had a clearance bin at one point with demolition, Akeem, Martel, Vader, Kerry and Kevin and I passed on ALL of them. Seriously one of my biggest collecting regrets ever. Hopefully all of those guys will be back under a deal one day.

For me it’s more about buying two sets of certain guys. I have the NWA Road Warriors and Von Erichs loose as I opened all of them. I wish I would’ve bought a second set to keep MOC. Just too pricey now. I did keep the card backs which does ease the pain a bit LOL.

It’s just money, so if it was something I wanted enough I could work to get it or get it again.
That said, I missed out on the first Eddie Guerrero Ultimate and would rather not pay second-hand prices so that qualifies here. I sold my SES CM Punk when money was tight, and then it was tighter yet when the re-release went up so I couldn’t replace it 😭 but such is life. Always a chance they come available again.

Mark Henry Decade of Domination. Need him to finish up the Mint on Card Series. Remember him already being the most expensive when it first went on sale and also went the fastest. Can only get so many at once I guess.
Eddie Guerrero Monday Night Wars Ultimate Edition.

You know, I have no regrets but I can tell you I purchased the ultimate set of Hogan and Mr. T and was really happy about that. I saw them and thought about not making the purchase, put them down and walked away. But it was if they were calling me back so I bought ‘em. I brought them home and looked at them and said out loud, “Maaaaaan, this is so kick ass!”

I was only collecting Warrior back then, but I saw most of the early Legends and Defining Moments figures and passed.
If I had to pick just one, it would be WM7 Macho Man. I grabbed the Warrior and was happy (still have it MOC), but after I started collecting all the wrestlers I liked, I realized it would have been nice if I'd grabbed that Macho Man. When they cancelled the UE release, it felt a little worse.

When I first started collecting, Legends Arn was on Ringside. I passed on it a few times in favor of RSC Macho King, and then RSC Austin, and then I can't remember what next. It was there for awhile, to the point of "It'll still be there after the NEXT figure I get, and then I'll get it". When I went to get it, gone. It's bothered me ever since.

When I first started collecting I went to my local K-Mart and I had to choose between an Elite JTG or an Elite John Morrison. I bought the Morrison. I never saw JTG in stores again. Later I bought Shad, but was I unable to complete my Cryme Tyme.
At the time I didn't understand that more popular wrestlers would get more figures made per set and that more popular wrestlers would have more figures made of them over time. I also regret passing on Elite Chavo and Elite Zack Ryder. (Eventually, I did get the Super7 Matt Cardona)
I did find this site around that time, I lurked for a year before making an account.

Luckily they have been reissued for ringsidecollectibles Straight Edge Society CM Punk with mask and Elite Series 13 Cody Rhodes.
In the beginning, I only collected legends. So many figures are being reissued. It's a good and bad thing for us collectors. How many figures will we have 2 of the same but with different articulation

SES CM Punk was #1 RSC all pink Bret Hart RSC Stone Cold with the red and black vest Elite Ted Dibiase Jr The first elite Jericho Any elite Jack Swagger pre-We the People Tommy Dreamer
Not a figure, but the NXT barricade from Wicked Cool Toys. I kept expecting it to be on a deep sale eventually and it never did. I also thought it was a little short so I didn’t really want it that much. Until I finally looked at the barricades at real life wrestling shows and realized the perception in my memory was off and the toy was sized pretty accurately. I was kicking myself once RSC sold out. I should’ve got it when it was $30 on release.
And a 2nd Smackdown Main Event ring or whatever it was called. The LED one. I kept waiting for a price drop that never came. I combined two Raw rings to raise the posts up a little higher and it looked good. I wanted to do that to the Smackdown ring, but needed a second one to do it. I also wanted a second Smackdown announce table for a Spanish commentary team.
