Sting has signed a long term deal with AEW “I signed a multi-year deal with AEW, obviously not to wrestle anymore, but it’s like a licensing deal, a legends deal if you want to call it that. So I’ll do appearances with them on and off, depending on what they want and all. I’ve done real estate, I did real estate before I ever was a pro wrestler, so I’ve always loved real estate. A lot of people say, ‘Oh, are you a real estate agent?’ No, I’m not an agent. I’m an investor. I was flipping houses before before flipping houses was a term. So I made money in real estate before wrestling, so I’m doing that again, and I love it," Sting said. As of this writing, there is no word on whether Sting will return to AEW programming. Is this true? I remember randomly seeing him in a bodybuilding magazine from around '84, pre-wrestling career and it was mentioned that he was a gym owner.

Agree with your 2 picks for the Ultimates. Exactly what I want.

I think they need to redo Wolfpac Sting. The fig we got was some fantasy attire hybrid of attire and a shirt he never wore. So that would be my top pick. Also we need that legends fig that was canceled. After that I’m good. Actually he did wear the Wolfpac shirt with the wolf’s face on it, at least for one photo shoot … I used to have a pinup from a magazine of him wearing that shirt with the black trench coat & there’s also a group pic with him wearing it with Luger, Konnan & Nash that appears to be from the same shoot … idk how to post pics here but if you google Wolfpac Sting pics you’ll be able to find them

All the nWo shirts i believe he wore normal with sleeves.

Dang, I never even realized that but you’re right, I do believe you’re right … most little detail like that I never notice until someone else points it out … I also didn’t notice that he’s missing the black lines coming from the corners of his mouth on that figure until someone here mentioned it a while back

I like it though.

It’s just odd that Mattel missed a few details that Toybiz got correct and some of the other issues were them just cheapening out ex with the inaccurate boots.

Well I still say, even if we never get another Sting Mattel figure.... Mattel nailed it with the Defining Moments Sting. One of the best figures they've ever done, still.

It’s a really nice figure and personally I do love it, but there are things wrong with it. And for what those are I will direct you to GreyHaze:Big Bad Booty Daddy

It’s my favorite figure in the Mattel line, but it definitely has some inaccuracies. I wish Mattel could have the chance to give us an improved version, but it seems highly unlikely. You guys ever notice that whenever we’re close to getting a full WCW lineup or just almost complete legends roster that there’s always a huge star missing? With Jakks it was Macho, Steamboat and Sting.

Why did jakks never do Steamboat? He was working for WWE at the time

With Jakks it was Macho, Steamboat and Sting. I kind of feel like once I get those Ultimate Steiners, I'll have a pretty complete early 90's WCW (at least, the big names) and I hope to do a photo or display.... I'm talking like 1989-1993-ish (can be a little flexible here)..... It is this era that I like to visit most often on the WWE Network, I feel like I always find something cool! I wish they had more content from this period, specifically 1991..... I really feel like The Steiners were the last "big names" missing from this era. Once we get them, we'll have all of these: * Sting * Ric Flair * Dusty Rhodes * Road Warriors * Steiner Brothers * Lex Luger * Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat * Flyin Brian Pillman (I actually don't have this figure. Maybe we'll get a re-release). * Big Van Vader * Cactus Jack * Arn Anderson * Paul E. Dangerously * Stunning Steve Austin * Ravishing Rick Rude * Harlem Heat * Sid Vicious * Terry Funk * British Bulldog (refresh me, are any of the Mattel releases considered "WCW"?) but he was mostly wearing his WWE stuff in WCW anyway. * Diamond Dallas Page * Jim Ross (the JR BAF can pass for a WCW Jim Ross). Who are we missing? Dustin Rhodes, Johnny B. Badd, Madusa, Beautfiul Bobby Eaton, Missy Hyatt.... maybe Jesse "The Body" Ventura.... Tony Schiavone, but I'll use the AEW version. Great Muta is coming soon, too!

Why is this thread a thing? He’s with AEW. Has been very public about how he felt about that WWE run…
You guys just bored? Slow news week?

I can’t fathom. Seems like a waste of breath/time. But then there’s always that squeaky wheel gets the grease crap so maybe there is something to shouting into the void.

Collecting figures in the first place could be considered a waste of time if you think about enough. Personally I enjoy speculating and discussing it with other people that share my interest, especially considering Mattel can't or won't make a lot of the stuff i want
