the new packaging feels like tissue paper. its SO thin. Legends boxes are at least a little more sturdy for some reason.
I wonder if we'll ever see a switch to straight up blister/bubble style instead of a box. As a loose collector I really don't care what the packaging looks like...but I do agree that the current state of it leaves something to be desired

I think all packaging should be changed. Even ultimates, they are all the same tired red and white, let's get other colors while we're at it. Make them smaller and use glue instead of tape. Use security anti tamper tape if cant use glue. Personally I like the consistency in the Ultimate Edition. They look good matched up. That's what I loved about jakks classic superstars

Changing it up just to pinpoint certain figures would be cool. I don't collect moc on unless it's people of the kliq, so it really doesn't effect me, BUT seeing a brand new package would be cool too.

The Mattel WWE line would be a nightmare to try and collect MOC. So glad I threw in the towel on that many years ago.
I live in the middle of nowhere and haven't noticed much for swaps and theft in North Dakota, so that hasn't affected me much.

Being a Moc collector, I don’t like the new Legends packaging, to me it looks too small … it’s nice to be able to see the entire figure yes but they look cramped up, like they’re crammed into the box, especially bigger figures like Andre the Giant

You just said you don't collect MOC, but as someone who does like to keep some figures MOC, I would be livid if they changed the packaging. There are way too many box styles in WWE and it makes having a MOC collection unsightly. At least with figures like the Classic Superstars and Jazwares AEW, there is consistency that they look neat and tidy on your wall.

When I see someone's moc collection, and its just a sea of red and white boxes over and over, they all blend together and I'm actually left unimpressed. I mean the main line series sure keep it that way, but the specialty lines? They don't need to be the same.

Two of them are AEW figures which are neat and tidy in their evenly presented boxes, all uniform in a row, looking just the same. The other is my wall of Sami and Kevin figures which have six matching sets and only two of them remotely resemble each other. I mean, to each their own, but the AEW figures are much more pleasing to my pattern-craving eyes.

I don't at all get the attraction to MOC collecting (I don't want my home to look like a Wal-Mart) and also think figure swaps are statistically meaningless as occurrences, so I don't care if the packaging is flimsy or ugly. I would be fine if they went to windowless boxes, even.

Why is the packaging so boring? You have to figure MOC collectors are a pretty big component of the people buying a line like that.

I've always hated that you have to cut into/destroy the Classic Superstars / AEW packaging to open a figure. Definitely don't want WWE Elites moving to a bubble or god forbid clamshell packaging.
I have no affinity to the UE packaging; I'm just annoyed there's so much tape to cut to open one.

I want the exclusives, to look more exclusive instead of blending together. Take the outsiders for example. Outside of the sleeve no one could tell they were exclusive.

How many MOC figures do you have on display? Are they displayed in rows or on shelves? Do you collect only one person or do you collect a wide assortment of MOC figures across all lines? Because honestly, unless you are a big fan of MOC collecting, this feels like you are complaining about the food at a party you didn't attend. I mean, not saying there isn't a point to be made here, just not sure if someone who doesn't primarily collect MOC is the person to make it.

Something tells me we will be seeing the WWE figures behind glass pretty soon - like the Legos. I don't see swaps for other brands like I do for WWE figures (and AEW figures). Unless Walmart and Target go the extra mile to stop this, nothing will change. Something they could do is if the item appears to be opened, instead of excepting the return, the buyer can only get a replacement figure (exact same one). They used to do this for DVDs back in the day. If you were returning an opened DVD, you could only replace it with the exact same DVD - you wouldn't get a refund. That might help. Other than that, the only thing they could do is have the return team become a bit more knowledgeable of the figures, or have them compare the returned figure to an image of the figure on the screen. One of the Walmarts near me has Elites / Ultimates / and AEW in the electronics section behind the counter. You have to go ask for them. The guy I talked to said it was due to swap outs.

You don't have to be an MOC collector to wonder why MOC collecting would be appealing for this specific product line. When people point to toy packaging they like, it usually has dynamic design elements or unique front-facing art. I love the Ultimates line, but it seems like they designed packages that store well where you can easily take the figures out and put them back in, highlighting the poseability of the figures more than shelf appeal.

We are all collectors, weather we collect all like a masochist, or bob down the street only wants 2. Some of them yes are on the wall, but that's not the point. Just because you collect all for a moc display on your wall doesn't give you the right to "gatekeep" how they should continue to be. Exclusives should look different period IMHO. I'm not saying they should change the complete packaging on the ultimates. I just want my exclusive figures to pop out more. Different color way would do that.

That did come off very gatekeeping-like. It's just that you said early on that you don't really collect MOC so your very firm stance of "I want MOC to -------" seemed questionable. Perhaps it's a fault in my own logic and thinking of not understanding why people would have intense opinions on hobby topics that don't directly effect them. However, you stated "my exclusive figures" which implies that you do collect exclusives, which, yes, I guess it makes sense for you to have an opinion on those. But either way, we will not agree on this topic. My brain has a need for patterns and uniformity. To me, things that stick out from others rub me the wrong way like misaligned shark skin. To you, you want them to pop so they DO stand out. To each their own.

That's crazy talk 😂 but I do get doubles and sometimes triples of certain figures.
