Timothy Thatcher would have made for a good Basics figure. As would have The Grizzled Young Veterans tag team.

I always think of the Surfer Sting DM that came with the laced boots. Mattel did fumble Surfer Sting.

Still fumbled Sting. Painted tights on skinny legs, poor torso choice, headsculpt wasn't great. Also they told us they thought about doing a fabric entrance coat but couldn't do the tassles without making them a choking hazard only to make fabric coats with tassels on future figures.

Go figure 😂 I think a lot of that really came down to bills personal decisions for years in the beginning to middle of the line on making or not I mean he had the rights to make public enemy Hugh Morris crush the rougeaus and so many others for years and just out right refused to make them I also remember a interview with him years ago from 2011 or 2012 when he was asked about certain looks of Bret Shawn Jericho undertaker edge and others in the legends line and he came back with a response of jakks already made all of them looks why do I need to make them again and then mentioned classic superstars 13 Rick rude and said he would do that exact version of him way better than they did once he started working on it and I've still been waiting all these years for that figure and elite 21 honky tonk mans belt running change. Since AFA joined the team things started turning around drastically and we started getting everything that you've listed plus more so having him definitely helps big time on decisions of certain things being created now

Refusing to make people because of ethics is 1 thing, refusing to make people because you don't like them is another. I like Bill, I do, but you can CLEARLY tell who Bill likes and who he doesn't care for just by looking at the quality of the figures.

It’s probably a rights issue but kinda crazy there hasn’t been a Bad Bunny fig. Also A-Team Mr T in the Hollywood line considering it is a Universal property but maybe it was a more complicated licensing issue. Crazy we never got a single fig. All of his looks were easy to replicate in figure form and you could've even used him for the SDCC crossover. Connection to Booker T was even there.

Yeah a Bad Bunny/GI Bro woulda made for a good exclusive. Probably woulda been passes for most old school collectors but think it woulda been successful nonetheless

Make it a 2 in 1 so you have the modern day one from the video and a classic WCW look.

I've always been surprised that Mattel had Crush and only made the Demolition version. You would have thought that at least getting Kona Crush out would have been a high priority.
Same with Barry Darsow and Repo Man.
I imagine the end of the Legends line leading to Flashback figures being slotted into regular Elite waves cost us a lot of great figures.

And then the only other legends type line was HOF which restricted them to only using HOFers.
