I grabbed this still from Alex West Collects' youtube video. Mean Gene is listed at 5'9 and IRS at 6'3. This is just trash. The first IRS figure was 6'10 and now this 5'7 version. What happened? I'd say 6'2 is a pretty average height in wrestling and 15 years into the line there still isn't a suited lower body in that range. At least he scales appropriately with the 5'7 Ted Dibiase legends figure. This is Jakks af.

I also wonder why his sleeve covers almost his entire upper arm in this version. IRS always had his sleeves fit tight around his arms with his biceps out and that was well represented in the original release.

I was under the impression these re-releases were supposed to be improvements. The only thing improved here is the truefx headscan. The glasses arent at all accurate either. He wore gold-framed glasses, not frameless black ones.

They wanted to save money like usual and just plopped Mankind or whoever sleeves on it. I fixed my original to match DiBiase with regular BaF legs.

I wish Mattel would just give us new arm molds. The concept of new shoulder and double jointed elbows are great, but every single guy in the line has the same damn arm mold. We used to have a variety. It’s like almost every other guy gets the ripped ultimate Warrior arms.

Mick Foley's rippling biceps and bulging veins are a sight to behold.

I'm glad I have the original IRS and feel bad for those with the updated one. Scale isn't everything to some collectors but to me that's inexcusable.

This is terrible. Makes me worried about future figures.

Scale went out the window a long time ago, I guess you never noticed?!
It was used as a selling point in the early days of the line to get people to jump on aboard and start collecting these figures but in the last 5-6 years (ever since they started pumping out figures like crazy), scale is no longer adhered to as much anymore, neither is accuracy (as far as details on attires go) and face likeness. I have noticed many new releases where the likeness is totally off (Sandman, CC George Steele, latest DM wave)- I thought this True FX technology was supposed to result in more accurate likenesses?! it looks very hit and miss to me, it seems like they either nail a likeness or its off. Accurate likeness is what got me to jump onboard and start collecting, having figures of wrestlers that actually look like them. I guess these things are to be expected, with the amount of figures they are constantly releasing they don't have the time to go through and examine each one closely to see if it has correct parts, is in scale and attire details are correct. Mattel doesn't care (nor do they have to) because people keep buying these figures regardless of their faults.

SOO glad I got the original. Yeah I'm keeping the original because I know Ted's ultimate is gonna tower over his elites so the original IRS will stay in my collection due to that. However, his new one matches Ted's elites, so I'll just display them on different tiers on my shelf.

The arms are a massive bug of mine. It was sometimes hit or miss in the single joint day's but now I hate them.
You have MNW Eddie elite or Mankind having the larger arms, Stone cold and Scott Hall having the skinny ones. Just doesn't make sense. I'm not sure if it's laziness or what from the design perspective but it's a massive downer.
We used to have many arm options on the single joints. Now it feels like its down to 2.

It's just getting worse is the problem, especially considering these re-releases are supposed to be better. tbh, idgaf about double jointed arms because I only display my figures, and having IRS, Ted Dibiase and Rick Rude shorter than Mean Gene, Jimmy Hart and Howard Finkel on my shelf is egregious.

That Mean Gene is also way too tall Mean Gene, Fink, Jimnmy Hart all scale way too tall. Now for some reason Trish Stratus has been shrunken down to about 4'8 on her new elite.

Yuck. Glad I have the old one Same. I may pick this one up for the true fx head and more rigid glasses to put on the original, and use this to make a custom or something. That is, if I can find it in Canada.
