Just curious as I know these figures were mostly trash and at the time, yeah I agree I did hate these figures compared to the BCA style.
However, these being the figures I grew up on, does anybody here still collect or have a soft spot for these?
Every now and then, if I see one on ebay for a good price and it was a figure I was always after as a kid but couldn't obtain, i will go ahead and pick it up.
I personally always loved the art style of the packaging on these.

I haven't bought one in a long, long time - but these and the RA figures are what I grew up on. Lot of nostalgia there.

Not a fan of the figures but the packaging beats anything post 2002.
A bland figures looked like a masterpiece moc and it was mainly down to the art style of the boxes.

I don’t specifically seek them out but still collect them, especially the later series ones when they started making good head scans

The only one I own is the TTL 5 Series Undertaker, because honestly there's not a better one than that. I'm quite content at just that, TTL's haven't aged well, but I'll always have a soft spot for them as I grew up with them.

I still buy them. Back in 2019 I started buying Jakks figures again. After the lockdown in 2020 I started buying more and more. Haven't stopped since. It's either replacing figures I had as a kid or simply buying ones I never did get.

I still use them as parts for customs. They add a little extra variety that didn't necessarily reappear in the RA line. I also need to pick up the Hurricane again, as my daughter has told me I'm not getting mine back. Oh well, at least one family heirloom secured. Otherwise, my TTL Big Show hit the yard sale pile when the R3 tech appeared. I see it around, but I could just never get over how little that Big Show was.

I just recently picked up a Perry Saturn at a local antique mall. Spent a whole 3 bucks on it. If only TTLs had bicep swivel, I could fudge him into some modern action shots as he scales pretty well with Mattel figures. But he can be slipped into some basic non-action pics with them so theres that. I'd still like to go back and pick up a few i had during their original run. I'd still pick up that Raven with the Punisher-esque shirt on and the only one they did without a shirt. Both of those were favorites back in 2000/2001.

The pre Real Scan ones weren't great and I'd never buy any of those now but I remember getting my first Real Scan figure, the initial ABA Undertaker and being very impressed at how good it looked. I still buy some occasionally on eBay to refill my collection after selling/swapping a lot of them as a kid in favour of new figures. There are some that still hold up really well today.
