I've had most (not all) that have been rereleased and I love having the option if I want to buy them again - whether it is updated parts, new/additional accessories, true Fx/better scans/molds, different heads, and in the rare case a repaint. I'm also excited in the rare case that they pick a figure I never had (like the CM Punk and the DM taker with wings).
If I don't want a figure, I pass and I don't get upset/care if it "hurts" the value or if I had a figure that was hard to find.
I'm also happy for the people that weren't collecting as long and missed out on previous releases.
Mattel has been rereleasing for 5+ years now - it's not like it is a new thing so people shouldn't be shocked/upset at this point.

No problem at all with them, even if I spent more on a certain figure and they re-release it, oh well. Still have the figure. I have just about all of the re-releases but the ones I don't I pick up. Win win.
The only thing I don't care for is putting a new BAF figure with re-releases. For example, I have every figure and no intention of rebuying any of the MNW greatest hits line yet there's a new BAF Vincent in the set, which obviously I don't have and want to obtain. I do have a problem with that.

If you can make better versions of older figures a lot of collectors didn’t have the chance to get, then hell yeah. The Vault Punk looks much better.

Great for new collectors and folks who missed out. I buy some, but not all. I don't care about anyone's grails, resale value, feelings, etc. These are toys. Who cares if you can't sell your old RSC exclusive for as much on ebay. I'd rather me and thousands of others have a shot at a figure to add to our collections. If you're investing in toys and getting mad that a re-release affects your value then I have 0 sympathy for you. My feelings exactly. Through re-releases I have managed to get a few figures I neglected to get the first time. I give 0 sh**s about the value of the originals, and Mattel (and any toy company) shouldn't either. The packaging is different enough that it should not affect the original packaged version.

I love the rereleases. It's added so many figures to my collection that I either missed out on or couldn't find at the time. So far I've gotten:
King Harley Race WMXIV Shawn Michaels (I had the original but it was used and incomplete) Roddy Piper as John Nada The Dudley Boys DX:IYH Shawn Michaels (on preorder)
Eventually I'm gonna grab that WM35 Mysterio too. Love that they put out SES Punk so people who missed that could get it. I hope that eventually Macho Man is brought back in so they can rerelease the Wolfpac one from RSC.

I am ok with them because they help everyone.
But no way I am going to upgrade each and everyone, I still am sexually active after all (and want to keep it that way).
I know people who were buying figs just to change the arms and give the old ones double joints and hand swaps... then they re-re'd them, at this rate it is safe to say they will do it with everyone who they can with!
I reckon there is a way to stop 2 year old re-releases and that is..... BETTER DISTRIBUTION....

Well, it's official. Those of you that are pissed about them are a super minority here. A loud, angry super minority. Too bad you'll still take every opportunity to come here and complain. 🤔

I’m a big fan of them. I’ve collected Mattel since they got the WWE license, so, I’ve had most of the more “rare” figures in the original release form that have been rereleased and I still fully support it.
I don’t buy figures as an investment so I may sell some figs now and again to streamline my collection but I don’t particularly care where the prices are at. I think it’s great for newer collectors and sometimes I like the revisions/improvements in the newer ones so I may sell the old and get the revision

Love Love Love Love Love
I didn't even get into the Mattel line until 8 or so years on, so them re-releasing stuff is a godsend to me. Bring it on. Bring MORE on.
One problem.
Some of these re-releases are hard to come by. I know some people said that you could get the Legends Greatest Hits online, but I never saw them. And I have no idea if Wave 2 will be but it sure isn't yet. Some figures like SES Punk were gone practically instantly, which is brutal for me because I happened to not have money available for the whole DAY it was online. I know a ton of people still couldn't get the re-release King Harley any more than they could get the first release.
So yeah, I'm so friggin grateful that the rereleases keep coming but man if there aren't a fair number of those re-releases I STILL can't get my hands on and STILL have to go to secondary for anyway.

Putting figures in the hands of collectors and fans is always a good thing. For the diehards, the OG figures have different packing, most likely different articulation, and a different serial number. The figure is still rare and worthy.

If it's something I missed & want? Brilliant.
If its something I already have? That's OK too

Love them. If it’s a sustainable way for Mattel to get figures out and thus people don’t have to pay huge eBay prices to get stuff they want, it’s a very good thing in my book.

I personally think they’ve gotten out of control. Theres, what, 5 lines right now dedicated to re-releases, Greatest Hits, Legends GH, UE GH, Fron the Vault, and Best of Monday Night Wars, yet they’re still dropping a lot of them in the main lines as well. Plus there’s quite a few where hardly any time has passed since the figure originally came out and it’s already getting another release. I am not opposed to re-releases. I think some are needed. SES Punk is a great example of a fig that desperately needed to be put back out. That said, figures like WMX8 Hulk and WM27 Trish seem unnecessary.
