Dissapointed: β’ Of course there are alot of stuff that nobody wants, Justin Hawk Bradshaw - that will warm on the pegs, it's in that niche slot of Legends figures that's a wasted spot alongside Rookie Ultimate Warrior, Mark Callous, Rookie AJ Styles, The Sultan, New Japan Hogan. Adding to Legends figures that no one ever asked for. Speak for yourself. Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw was my favorite BCA figure of all time and I've been waiting years for Mattel to make this version of him. |

How are they gonna sculpt a whole new midsection for Bianca but make it just as thin as the inaccurate U.E?? Or did they sculpt texture over that torso? Idk how all that works. I know she needs a bigger midsection. I'm hoping Jade will change that. That's IF we even see Jade. I know CM Punk needs 10 plus figures apparently.
Tiffany's body looks great! I'm hoping she is unfinished tho, that hat shpuld be pink and not white. The knee pads should be lighter than the lace that's on them. And that face is horrible, I'd be embarrassed to put that out. I noticed the stars on her top are misprinted from the sculpt so maybe the whole figure's paint app is off?
Rhea looks great and I need a U.E. ring so this works for me but for the people who don't need the ring I feel your pain. Honestly, in a world CM Punk (whos been out of action all year) gets 10 figures in one showing you'd think Rhea (the top female star) would get some damn attention. Bill needs a woman on the team me thinks.
Nattie is a let down. I get that she's an old figure but if they can add double elbows than why not legs? And that painted over sports bra is just plan lazy.
Annnnd that's it for the women on preview night... 4. Sigh.

Comments on a few things that caught my interest so far: NWO Dusty head looks great, finally a serious expression that fits that era of his career. And dark glasses too. Only shame is it doesn't come with his red jacket. New Sid headscan looks fairly good, though I'd rather had an intense serious/staring type expression. The Syxx chase is pretty cool, I much prefer the Thug gear, and I love the new headscan, looks very WCW era. Hurricane is OK, but I'd have preferred a 3-Count style Sugar Shane Helms. Still badly hoping to see some real WCW surprises, i.e. "first time" and "deep dive". Guys like Mortis/Kanyon, Norman Smiley, Ernest Miller, Buff Bagwell, Alex Wright, Konnan, Disco Inferno, Perry Saturn, La Parka, Steve McMichael, Kronik, Referee Nick Patrick, etc.. I unfortunately think your best bet getting any "deep dive" additions is if one of the twenty-something Legends they seem to recycle over and over had an obscure gimmick in WCW. So perhaps a "Team Canada" Jim Duggan or Booty Man. The best bet is for Mattel to push WWE to approach/sign more first time and deep dive WCW names. So they don't have to fudge the WCW side of the Monday Night Wars line purely with A-listers who've had loads of figures and "WWF guys" in their WCW gear, and can actually maximize the huge potential/sales of this line. Not just for my benefit, but for the huge number of WCW fans old and new, who know their wrestling history and want to see these great talents celebrated and shown proper respect, and for the big profits held in the nostalgia for the Monday Night Wars era, which had colossal MAINSTREAM popularity, which included BOTH the WWF Attitude side AND the WCW/NWO side. But of course me saying this will invoke the WWF fanboys to push their narrative that WCW sucked, WCW names have no value, these guys aren't noteable enough or don't deserve it, etc. Which is a bunch of crap. WCW guys like the ones I keep listing (and many more too), were talented, popular and had memorable characters, they deserve it and would sell plenty. Of course some may not wanna sign deals, that can't be helped, but they need to be approached at least, and the Monday Night Wars line gives Mattel more reason than ever to suggest WWE to at least TRY to fill some of these longtime, important gaps. |

Whats the schedule for WWE-Mattel the rest of SDCC? Panel mid-day today and then a guest panel on Friday? Tons of renders shown today, a few on Friday and then maybe 1-2 last minute things shown Saturday is how I typically remember it.

Probably been asked to death in this thread but its so active I just can't track it down... Whats the schedule for WWE-Mattel the rest of SDCC? Panel mid-day today and then a guest panel on Friday? Tons of renders shown today, a few on Friday and then maybe 1-2 last minute things shown Saturday is how I typically remember it. Yea they end up swapping stuff out of the main case each day, adding stuff in. But yea big Thur, small Friday, and then an item or two on Saturday |

Doesn't need a petition, WF is the biggest wrestling figure community and Steve and Bill read these boards (plus they are big wrestling fans like we are, so they are already in our corner on this). People just need to continue to post here that they're not satisfied with the Monday Night Wars line picks being so heavy on the repaints, and that we want more "first time" and "deep dive" (and perhaps mention a few specific names as I do). Mattel will pick up on this and report to WWE legal that they need to approach/sign more WCW names. And hopefully given time, the list of available names will broaden and we'll finally get deeper WCW coverage. |
