I didn’t realize Anvil was part of the Usos. Wild. Yeah…The Hart Foundation didn’t throw enough super kicks!

Wish dragunov was in his white attire. He’s been wearing it a lot for a while yeah same it’s one of my favourite gear, I was hoping for the white gear dunno why it wasn’t the white gear but we still don’t know who’s the chase for that set, so I would be happy he is the chase in the white gear. I thought I was the only one wanting the white gear but yeah he has wore it for ages.

Would they put Liz in the set? They had the chance to put Capt. Lou in and decided against it. Will they add managers to the line. Obviously, Macho and Liz make the most sense, but if they aren't going to add managers to the line, then Macho and Jesse would go great together. Steve said managers would tank the line, but if one exception could be made I think it would be this one. An LJN Macho with an added robe and proper dark skin tone would do good numbers. After all, the cream always rises to the top. I guess Steve definitely knows better than us.... But I can tell you that a Coliseum Collection Bobby Heenan or Slick would be a DAY ONE pre-order for me. Moreso than many wrestlers. I still haven't bought Hart Foundation yet.

Did they announce which series Macho attire Punk is gonna be in? Glad that one got an elite upgrade. Was hoping the same for his Bret attire but I’ll take an updated basic for now.

The fact they don't have Macho Man after all these years is beyond disappointing. Sadly they weren't putting out the Macho stuff fans on here wanted most like his Halloween Havoc outfit among others. Seeing the love they’ve given Hogan makes me really even more sad by their Macho Man output. Nearly all of them were missing accessories and they only used the best head (WM8) one time. They also ignored his best attire era (91-94) compared to making trunks attires over and over.

My interest since they lost Macho Man has dropped a lot. There’s still lots of new talent I’ll get figures for, but having that WM7 Ultimate practically ripped out of our hands last year was disheartening.

Its disconcerting that there were literally ZERO new Legends shown...as in, new signings not new gimmicks. I mean technically Pillman counts because he's "back". BUT he had a few figures already. New gimmicks don't count (Golga, Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw, Billy as Smoking Gunn, etc) because those are the same people just different styles I am overall happy with what was shown, a lot of cool stuff I'm looking forward to getting in the coming year. But I really would like to continue filling more holes in my collection. Stuff like.... We really need a new JBL, in the Elite OR Ultimate line...the first elite was so skinny and had a pretty terrible head, the 2nd one was improved but a 1-off costume that's kind of silly. Monday Night wars doesn't need a Greatest Hits, that could have been used on other talent or NEW looks for the superstars in that set. Why are we getting another Hurricane instead of a cool Gregory Helms from his singles run or hell even Sugar Shane from WCW? Why are we still not getting Ultimate Warrior in his neon green trunks and a winged eagle which is truly one of his most iconic looks? I love that Syco Sid is coming, but why not put him as the Chase, with a 2nd head so we could also get Sid Justice? Bam Bam from Wrestlemania 11 is probably his most notable match/look, and yet we're getting a worthless re-release of the ECW Legends figure Just a couple of examples Well said. It does seem like the same 20 or so Legends recycled over and over. I know Mattel is handcuffed by only being able to work with those under WWE Legends deals, but it's troubling there were no new Legends shown this year. Honestly, there isn't a whole lot I'm planning to get from what they showed. Don't get me wrong, they showed a lot of nice figures, just not anything I'm really interested in Legends/Flashback-wise. I do still collect current wrestlers, so the influx of new faces from NXT is very welcome to me.

Keep in mind that Mania was just a few months ago and a bunch of new stuff was shown then. We can only get so many first timers in a year.

I don't know where we get that Python Power bandana Hogan now. It seemed like it needed to be in a BAF set. Royal Rumble series was perfect to put it there.

You have these small independent toymakers putting out all kinds of obscure mid card names, but now they also are acquiring the rights to genuine main event headliners so you have upstart companies like MWF revealing Brian Adams/Brian Clark AND Randy Savage. The whole Legends deal arrangement is really hampering the overall selection. It is the reason why instead of getting someone genuinely new for the MNW series like a Wrath or Glacier we will instead get a Booty Man/Butcher or whatever other random Beefcake gimmick hasn't been made yet simply because he's under contract.

After all, the cream always rises to the top. Yeah, I kind of disagree with Steve about that. I think people who are buying these figures wouldn't care that much if a manager was made. Maybe a set of managers wouldn't sell, but if you put the manager with the right wrestler, I think it would do fine. A Macho/Liz, Andre/Heenan or Hercules/Hercules, Sheik/Blassie, OMG/Slick, etc. would do fine. Since these are only twice a year, you're not asking the fan base to spend enormous amounts of sums. Also, for most managers, this would be the only chance at getting them as an Ultimate Edition figure. I had heard Steve comment in multiple interviews that a set of just managers would “tank the line” but that a single manager paired with a strong “anchor” is still possible. So that Macho/Liz set isn’t so far-fetched, if he ever comes back. But this far in with zero non-wrestlers to date does suggest they are hesitant- even admitting they shifted from putting Albano from a slotted CC spot to the Legends line instead.

Albano needs to be made to order from MC. His $23 Legends figure is rotting, and not even moving at half price clearance. I don’t know if he’d be the wisest choice for this Coliseum Collection line

I don't know why they can't release a list of legends that they have under contract. That way it will save people on here from disapointment and too high expectations.
We are supposed to guess that Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Magnificent Muraco is or isn't under contract.
The good thing about collecting other lines - Masters of the Universe, for example, is that we will get most of the characters so that the line will be almost complete to a satisfying level. We don't know who we will get in terms of Legends.

I don’t think that would be logical because it would basically be a list of talent so other companies know who they can sign and it’d also completely remove the surprises they give us when they show new people

Oh wait....what did we not know that we already knew? We already knew Great Muta and Brian Pillman. That's all we got in terms of new legends. To me the best two reveals that they did was SDCC 2022 and for Wrestlemania 39. After that it felt decisive, that you didn't have the need for anymore toy reveals in months. I didn't get that this year and would even welcome the next monthly reveals with something new added. Not just a SDCC rehash for months.

Kind of surprised that they revealed the Steiners when they did because they dropped that preorder out of nowhere only about a month ago when if they would have waited just few weeks it could have been that major unveiling at SDCC.

Mattel seemed to do as good at SDCC as they did at Mania a few months ago. The bar was high but they rose to the occasion. What do you guys think?
