Went thru the pics and made a list of everything I want that's coming up. Never quite did that before but it was nice to jot down what really stuck out to me. Some good stuff on the horizon! Wonder if we get another reveal or two.

I don't think they showed anything after last Thursday last year either. They used to show sublines/exclusives/new lines throughout the weekend, but that seems to be a thing of the past. Maybe we'll get a surprise or two by tomorrow or in the Q&A video, but this is most likely it.

My two main takeaways from this year’s SDCC. One: Late Stage Capitalism is hitting Mattel and WWE because there were significantly fewer ideas for new products this year than other SDCCs Two: Vince’s refusal to meaningfully protect his mid card talent and outright pushing back against making more new stars in the last 20 years is impacting the talent pool of people that will sell figures. I understand that a lot of people who might sell figures aren’t available, but a ton of said names were from other generations and this the problem is directly exacerbated by the lack of new stars from the last 20 years. Yes, they made some, but not as many as the 90s and 80s. 100% Agree. Upper Mid-Card Guys like Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase, and Big Boss Man never held any meaningful titles in WWF. But people remember them 30-40 years later. They resonate. They were memorable. It’s insane, isn’t it? Even fans who weren’t around for the 80s know the wrestlers then better than the roster of my own childhood(2005 to 2011)

And I cannot remember the main event of Wrestlemania from 4-5 years ago.

Five years ago would have been Lynch vs Flair vs Rousey just for the record. I get where you’re coming from, I just like being fair in my discussions.

I've wanted a Muta figure since I was a young kid watching my dad's old WCW VHS tapes.

I get where you’re coming from, I just like being fair in my discussions. I don't know if I understand your point.... Yeah, I probably watched the early Wrestlemanias multiple times..... and I probably watched the last 20 Wrestlemanias only once.... I think it's apples to oranges though; Back then - 4 PPV's a year, they hyped them for 3 months, we were psyched & thought they were the biggest events of all time.... These days - 12 "PLE's" a year, + 3-hour Weekly RAW, + 3-hour Weekly Smackdown, + 5-6 hours of AEW programming (if you're into that), + more..... I guess it just seems like there was more importance ("Big Time Feel") placed on the events of yesteryear and today we roll through them at a rapid pace - and I'm not even saying the "old way" was better, it's just different. Add to that your original - excellent point about McMahon not "creating" new Mega Stars during the 2000's...... and what are we left with? Hundreds of hours of programming each year and a lot of guys never stand out from the crowd, lost in the shuffle.
