I think the comment about the new regime is right -- and really going to make a difference.
Look at everything TKO is doing. It's clear they have one goal -- make money. No bullcrapthat doesn't make sense, no old grudges.
I really do think we're going to get a lot of new talent as the changes from Vince being gone keep moving. It will take a while to get to merch, but I really do think it will happen.

Hope he comes back on, just not exclusive for Mattel I hope, so the indy companies can keep making him. Id like to think the new regime is open to doing non exclusive contracts so we're gonna start seeing guys like macho, the road warriors, and demolition from Mattel as well as the indie companies. It's possible I'm wrong, but I hope that's the case I really do hope so. I bet alot of these legends are sniffing a nice payday with some of these indy companies from the sounds of how much of a percentage they reportedly could get. I just imagine Epic or Hasttel getting to make figs of guys like Sting, Bret, Warrior, etc. I assume though that the guys closest to HHH may feel obligated to stay exclusive though like Shawn and Nash maybe? Taker too probably, but how many options on attires are really left for him, unless you wanted him in his later years in retro form.

My buddy has confirmed Demolition but doesn't know if it will be announced next week or not. I hope so, I could definitely see them being the next Coliseum Collection set if they do have a deal done. That being said I'm not going to get my hopes up just yet I would think a zero percent chance of Demolition being in the CC. Smash didn’t get an LJN release, so would go against what the CC line is.

By that criteria, then maybe Slaughter shouldn't be in the line, right? I think an argument could be made for Smash & Barbarian being in the line...kind of correcting a past wrong of incomplete teams. Even more glaring when you consider that there was somewhat of an emphasis on tag teams in the line.

But I could see Demo and PoP included since we got one of each and not the other. Plus it seems like all their rules are self opposed and never consistent either. They had to make Piper without the red ringers cuz that’s how the LJN was but then they give him blue trunks. They had to make Jake with the same tights we just got in his Legends cuz that’s how the LJN was but Hart Foundation attire doesn’t match their LJN.

Yeah, Slaughter was released before CC was a thing and retroactively added later. So I guess everyone is correct, ha.

Shortly after the line launched, Steve stated that the “almost LJNs” lost wave would be eligible for this line, if talent are available- meaning that Smash, Barbarian, Brother Love and The Bushwhackers are fair game!

I could see some of the bigger names staying mostly exclusive but the way I see it people are going to buy Mattel wrestling figures if they're made available, they have the most name recognition and the best relationship with brick and mortar retailers so they're also the most accessible for hardcore and casual collectors. Id like to think WWE/Mattel know their stuff will sell regardless so they don't have a problem sharing legends with smaller companies

No bullcrap that doesn't make sense, no old grudges. I really do think we're going to get a lot of new talent as the changes from Vince being gone keep moving. It will take a while to get to merch, but I really do think it will happen. Imagine a world where we see Macho, Sting, Flair, the Road Warriors and Demolition all back under the Mattel figure umbrella. This could also include 'lesser' guys we have wanted for a while - Hercules, Barbarian, and the like.

I personally do think this will happen over time. I guess we'll see...

Look at the back of your Hogan/Funk cards. Only time it showed up. Hasn’t been on the back of the card in the last 3 waves.
