For instance, say that you want Ravishing Rick Rude released specifically from Wrestlemania VI. Would this get ruled out from being released just because he faced Jimmy Snuka at this event? On the back of the card they may have to mention Snuka being the opponent for Rick Rude. Do these types of figures not get made just because of name association?

Nah. They don't have to mention anything on the back of the card that they don't want to.
They're not going to avoid doing Cyndi Lauper if they get the chance to just because she feuded with Moolah.

On the WWE network, most matches are described as ‘Wrestler A vs Wrestler B’ and yet there are some that simply say ‘Wrestler A match’. Those matches involve Chris Benoit.
It’s pretty easy to say that someone won their match at whatever event without saying who it was against.
I don’t think we have to worry about this particular issue, although obviously confirmation from Mattel would be helpful.

I’m sure Rudman can figure out how to write the copy without mentioning said controversial opponent. Something like “Summerslam 2004 was a historic night for the legend killer capturing the top prize for the first time and becoming the youngest world champion in WWE history.”

What is the problem with Moolah? Theres a dark side of the ring that covers it. All hearsay with conflicting stories but basically trafficking the women wrestlers. Enough credibility to the accusations that there was major backlash when they tried naming the WrestleMania women’s battle royal after her that they quickly changed it. I could be wrong, but I dont think her name has been mentioned or image shown on WWE programming since.

I just wish they'd use his ring music on the network, because the dubbed music is just so absolutely horrible it practically ruins it with how horrible it is...same with Demolition...they stopped using that again...

I doubt it would matter. On the A&E biography of Ricky Steamboat, they should footage of him with Snuka and mentioned Jimmy's name.

I hope it's not a factor!
I would really love a Wrestlemania 14 Triple H (with jacket too please). That would be disappointing if we couldn't get that because they can't mention Owen Hart.

Speaking of Rude, when his legends figure was released, he was missing the back design that featured warrior. At the time warrior was not on good terms with WWE.

Kevin Owens literally took his ring name from Owen Hart. I don't think you can get much more into the "forbidden name association" than that and they went ahead and let him do it anyway. And if they let him go out there as that every week, then I don't see why action figures would be bound by name association with someone. The most they'll do is get creative with the box/card.
