We definitely need shiny sequined suit and bow tie. Make it a chase. Definitely not knocking it either as I bought one. At MSRP at that!!!. I am just saying that it's a very niche look and not what best represents Heenan. Firmly in the tux or mgr look camp, as where I would assume most Heenan fans are too. Clearly not his most iconic look but one that I feel needed to be done as he did have quite a few memorable matches during the Golden Age and the weasel suit is the perfect accessory for wrestling attire. I think there woulda been less backlash for that choice had the SvS 2 pack came out or they found a way to release it individually. That, or they released him more frequently in his more recognizable manager/commentator attires instead of a tux that he only wore in one match and nothing even remotely like it prior or after locked in a 4 pack, or one of his most iconic looks that was a store exclusive for a store that was going out of business.

I'll buy every Heenan figure they put out. I couldn't find the Fan Central one so I had to resort to a 3rd Party seller.
I wonder if the "Sequin jacket" would be difficult for Mattel to pull off properly? Maybe that's why they avoided it? I think if they tried to do it "soft-goods" style it would look way too bulky.... but could they give that sparkle-effect to any of the plastic materials they use? I'm drawing a blank on any other Mattel "sequin" attires that aren't soft-goods....
I really want a red-jacket Heenan, either Sequin or his "Monday Night RAW" look.... but I almost hope they don't unless it's a Target Legends or a Ringside Exclusive. I can't deal with any more Walmart products at this time.
Agree that the Weasel Suit Legends figures wasn't the Heenan that most people were looking for.... I think because the Fan Central (Manager) Heenan was soooo hard to come by (but it was the one we wanted)? And Weasel Suit was EVERYWHERE..... then they hit Ollie's too.

I don’t have it in front of me at the moment, but didn’t they give the Then, now, Forever WM Miss Elizabeth a sparkly green dress? If so I don’t see why they couldn’t do one for the Brain.

Yeah I think you are correct, but that was soft goods. They seem to steer away from "sequin" type materials these days - The Savage in the Mega Powers Ringside two-pack was "red" but lacked the sparkle, slightly disappointing. If they try to do a soft goods Red Sparkle Jacket for Heenan I fear it'll look oversized. Sorta like the "Territories" Muhammed Ali's soft goods jacket.

Survivor Series 87. Bigelow was left alone against 3 giants at the time, beating Bundy and OMG before losing to Andre. To child-me, and even now having recently rewatched it (with nostalgia eyes, I’m sure), it was a star-making performance. Bam Bam had power, speed, agility and presence! Bam Bam had a really solid stretch in 93 with some great matches against Bret and Razor. But in the Big 4 PPV era, there weren't a ton of opportunities for long spotlight matches. He had another really good run in ECW with a super memorable match against Taz, but probably around the period where the product was still largely only hot in the Northeast. Incredibly talented big man, but it seemed like he was constantly in the wrong promotion by probably 2-3 years. I really hoping Mattel makes an Ultimate with his purple/blue flame attire soon. By that time ECW was syndicated nationwide and real ones knew…they had expanded West of the Mississippi amd were holding sold out shows in the smaller venues in cities pretty far away from their home base area.

I hate to say it, but Sting.
From painted skinny legs to balloon heads to Batista torsos...
The ball was dropped

There's a big drop off after it, in my opinion I agree 100% … which is why I only have 3 Sting figures myself … DM Crow, DM Surfer (with corrected boots but the figure overall still leaves something to be desired, I’ve always thought that there’s something just a little bit off about it but I can’t quite put my finger on it) & the RSC Wolfpac figure which is my favorite of all of them

Aside from the Crow DM, the GAB DM is okay but the skinny painted legs and Batista torso wasn't the right call, imo. The other crow elites along with the Wolfpac are pretty good overall but it's weird seeing Sting with Batista torsos then singlet Sting with the X-Pac torso and skinny arms

I don't like the part choices and believe Mattel could've executed better but I am still glad to have them in the collection. A Sting or Kurt figure is still better than no Sting or Kurt

Hell, even if they just used Austin’s torso it would have looked 100 x better.

I'm not a fan of most Andre figures. Whereas they look decent and mattel ones look better than some other toy brands have made I still don't think there is an Andre figure made even ultimate edition that captures his true look. The scale, body shape, arms, legs never look perfectly right. I just want Andre with the scary wide eyes crazy look and his mouth open with all the crazy teeth. Ideally would like him to be able to be posed strangling someone.

If you recall, initially the DM GAB Sting didn't even have the correct boots, they were laced - I think they did a running change and there are two versions out there. I believe I have the laced boots Sting "In Box" and the corrected boots Sting loose. I had to search all over to find the Sting with the corrected boots. Just shows how much effort they were putting into these Sting figures.

I bought several of them anyway, but Sting has to be the one Mattel dropped the ball with the worst.
The GAB head was too large and looked like he was wearing a mouth guard. The other surfer Sting heads looked just like John Cena in face paint. And that’s not even getting into the parts choices.
The DM crow Sting was perfect, but it kills me that we never got one really good surfer Sting.
Almost every single custom I see absolutely blows the Mattel figures out of the water.
