As to your original question for this post- Bobby Heenan and Jimmy Hart. Both are iconic managers of the 80s, who I would like to own MOC, but just haven’t been feeling any of their figures in package. I’m hoping this changes with Coliseum Collection at some point! What? You mean to tell me, of all the iconic Heenan looks they could have run with for their ONE Heenan figure in the last decade or so, you are not a fan of Heenan as the weasel for L7?!?! Such a head scratcher that that is the look they chose to go with...

They could just rerelease the Heenan Family 4 Pack version in the Mania 3 white tux, single packed in the Legends line, and I’d be relatively content… hopefully with some upgrades.

This is a little different than the stated question, but for me as of late, Rey Mysterio. Not that the figures are bad, I just hate that Mohawk thing on his masks. I don’t even know why it annoys me so much, but I don’t want any figure that has it.

Rhea is a good choice....I actually went back and bought 102 when I seen 110 wasnt going to be in purple...Im a faction builder so I needed that matchey matchey goodness in my life LOL. LA Knight is my current main one. I like the guy and his matches but have passed on his elite figure so far...hoping the next one is in a better attire.
I totally see that about LA Knight. He is so vibrant in person - and the figure hasn't captured that vibe yet.

I don't like the legs on any Mattel Steve Austin to date, other than Hollywood Blond Stunning Steve. Interesting, what is it about them? I am strictly a MIBber so never have paid attention. In my opinion, the legs they tend to give him are too long and skinny, I assume to allow the knee braces to fit, but if you look at Austin the person, he has thick legs.

Any look but the weasel suit and I'd be content! What?! The Weasel suit is iconic. I wanted it since Jakks did the Toy Fair 1/100 exclusive. The problem with Mattel’s version was instead of giving him trunks legs they gave him the flesh color tights mold. So his legs have wrinkles in them. still I was glad to get him. His best Mattel is the Network Spotlight figure. I would gladly buy that figure again.

But not as the main, windowed look. More units would have moved (i.e. been more popular) had he been in a more iconic Heenan look (a la a managerial look or classic tux).

So, yes, the weasel suit made for memorable moments, but I would want my one displayed Heenan to show him in manager glory. I missed out on the Network Spotlight figure, but that might do the trick- too expensive now though. Heenan and Jimmy Hart Mattel figs always felt too tall to me too. Did the recent Jimmy Hart WCW era Legends fig fix that?

We already gotten two manager looks by that point and weasel suit/wrestling attire was highly requested by many. A limited run store exclusive was the perfect spot for this figure. Keep in mind this came out when Target and Mattel were still trying to figure out the right distribution model for this line and everyone in those early series warmed. Plus I believe he was double packed due to Sting being pulled.

Jakks likely made it a 1/100 (and disguised by being a fair exclusive) because it knew it wasn't that broad of an appeal. Manager look or tux Heenan has the broad appeal.

I’m just saying (at least for me, selfishly) it’s time for another good manager look!

Granted the Fan Central was hard to come by for many due to TRU closing at the time and distribution was spotty but that WM3 warmed extremely hard even when that 4 pack was as cheap as $15.

One of the biggest problems with the Heenan figures is his lack of expression. Really bland headsculpts that don't give a hint of his sense of humor or smirk. Weasel suit should have been an embarrassed or confused look and not what we got.
Ric Flair also has really bland figures. Never had a headsculpt that captured his early 90s wwf run in haircut or expressions. The ue figure has good expressions and a woooo face but the butterfly robe and retrofest red robe are so bland. There have been such nice soft goods and better headsculpts lately and it is a shame flair is off the table at the moment.

Make it a chase. Definitely not knocking it either as I bought one. At MSRP at that!!!. I am just saying that it's a very niche look and not what best represents Heenan. Firmly in the tux or mgr look camp, as where I would assume most Heenan fans are too.
