Haven’t seen a comment so inaccurate or illogical in a long time.

Because no cares if a Polynesian portrays someone who is Japanese. However, cultural appropriation of the indigenous people of this country is a huge hot button issue. That being said, what does that have to do with Gangrel getting figs? Because Gangrel isn't an ACTUAL vampire.. Speak English, Doc! We ain't scientists!

I don't understand how they keep making yoko figs when he's not really a sumo much less Japanese but there were issues with Strongbow. 🤷♂️ One is a Polynesian man, billed from Polynesia, respecting and representing Japanese culture through his Japanese manager. While acknowledging the connection between the two countries and their heritage. The other was an Italian guy playing a different race.

He'd be an awesome figure, but I don't see him having a ton of marketing value to WWE. He had a (relatively) short run, a single gimmick, and the main acts he was associated with (E&C, Hardys) aren't available right now.
That doesn't mean it's totally off limits - you could argue the Headbangers were in the same boat. But they probably have a set number of slots for Legends deals and he's probably not somebody that checks all the boxes.

As long as they aren't in an Owen or Benoit scenario, I say never say never.

I still have no idea why Bill Irwin got signed, but he was available for years before they made the figure.

Yoko wasn’t paying any sort of tribute to Polynesian heritage or Japan in any way. It was clearly aimed at the huge amount of anti-Japanese sentiment in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s over the perception that Japan was pulling ahead of the US and taking our jobs by taking over the auto industry. It was a huge hot-button issue at the time, and his presentation leaned into that hard.
I have zero issue with non-PC gimmicks. Anything that gets heat is a big win.
But, let’s call a spade a spade.

The only first time in the lines I want more are Owen and Raven. I’ve been waiting over a decade to finish The Brood.

I would like to see Gangrel get made. He had a unique look that would look awesome in figure form. If Mattel can't, let's hope Tony Khan can give him some sort of contract so Jazwares can make him. 👍

I had the opportunity to spend the day with Gangrel a couple years back..... Let's just say...... there might be some legal reasons that WWE isn't interested at this time. I have a story. That's all I can say.

If they signed Bill Irwin for the sole purpose of making one limited edition figure and no other notable merch other than maybe being in the mobile game, then clearly no one within reason is off the table.
