Interested to hear what everyone’s collecting status is over the age 30. I’m coming to the end of the journey. I’m 37 and I’m now only buying Coliseum Collection. Sold everything else.
Which one do you fall into in the poll?

I’m 35 and essentially am just collecting CM Punk figures now. I get really into new reveals and seeing all the upcoming stuff, but I don’t end up really buying any of it. I’ve gotten more into collecting horror masks and such in the last year, so wrestling figures kind of lost my interest.

I’m 48 and over the last year or so I’ve decided to primarily focus on pre 1992 which has led me to collect less. The reveals still get me excited especially Coliseum Collection, Legends and most of the Superstars line. I’ve also decided that I don’t need every single Hogan or Warrior from that era and have concentrated on looks that I have the best memories of. The recent territory 4 pack and Terry Gordy are great and hopefully more like those to come.

Age 30, I nitpick a lot of my purchases now. I'm at the point where I just grab who I really liked during my teen years. I tried rebuilding the collection last year and the love for it just isn't there like it used to be. I do collect other figure lines, but wrestling figure purchases have definitely dwindled down.

I'm 34 and I have stopped collecting every new wrestler. I've downgraded to only 1997-2008 wrestling figures.

I am in my mid-50’s. It depends on what line I’m collecting.
WWE - I mainly buy Legends and a handful of modern wrestlers I find entertaining. But for the most part I got into wrestling figures because of the fond memories they brought back of watching wrestling with my dad. So anyone I buy who wrestled pre March 1990 is for that reason. Anyone post that I had to enjoy watching after my dad passed.
AEW - I basically given up on. (I will only buy new Sting, Hangman and Pac figures now)
Batman/DC - I am still all in and that will never change.
ML - only certain characters or teams. (Captain America/Avengers, Punisher, Daredevil, Spider-Man & the core X-Men)
GI Joe - Only certain characters.
Star Wars - only the original trilogy and Mandalorian.
Indiana Jones - I am still all in.

40's here.
I've got through ebbs and flows with wrestling collecting over the years. After not buying a single figure since around 2010 the current surge in WWE just being overall better has prompted to get a few figures. Right now it's just Elite Cody, Knight and Punk figures and the occasional Basic with the new articulation.
I can't see myself ever getting back to BCA/TTL days when I was buying everything.
My first love has always been Star Wars I'm probably closing in on 3,000 figures/accessories/playsets and still going strong.

In the over 60s group. I write more than 20 characters because i still can. Someday that mighht be illegal too. Not many of us left that witnessed the first wrestlemania. When it comes to the wwe i collect what i like but mainly just collecting mattel creations figures now. Done with the roadshow. Just buying straight from mattel at this point. As long as the legends series continue it gives me reason to buy them but retail has become extremely boring.
Based on what i see the young guns are running the show now. Hopefully a few more old timers get made like jesse ventura so i can call it quits. Have most of the figures i want but will replace a better headsculpt when possible. I prefer jakks still as their legs are not skinnier than the arms but there is always room for improvement. The headsculpts on mattel arecdef better but the scaling issues are hard to chew on.(like yokozunas arm)
Mattel is not slowing down and probably peaking right about now. I don't believe any of us will peak until after we get every figure we wanted. At some point mattel and the wwe will collaborate together to create costumes to sell as action figures. We gotta be careful this line doesn't go the barbie route and hope the dozens of looks some wrestlers had doesnt become a gimmick for every new age wrestler. I can already imagine the miz with 500 different looks by the time he retires. So let's not clamor for every single outfit these new wrestlers wear. As they say be careful what you wish for. In other words if we all want our collection to be complete lets focus on getting our want lists completed before we ask for the 50th look of our favorites...
I have peaked my collection and thank god. Prices are still rising. Luckily i bought most of my collection when figures were still less than 10$. But done? A true collector is never done...

44 and pretty much buying mostly legends. Only few current guys interest me...still rarely pass teams though. I would say 80% of my wrestling purchases are Legends

I’m 39. I’d like to say I’ve hit my peak, but then I’ll see stuff like a Muta Ultimate announcement, or the Monday Night Wars Eddie and get really exited to get these.
I started out just buying AEW. I avoided Mattel/WWE because I knew once I started it wouldn’t stop. But when Super 7 announced NJPW figures I figured “well, I need a Nakamura and Devitt to fill out the shelf a bit.” Then I saw that Ultimate NWO Hogan and it was over. I fell into the trap. Ultimates, elites, retros, Superstars. If it was a guy or girl that I cared about from (roughly) 87-05, I probably wanted it. All the while still keeping up with a lot of what Jazwares was putting out for AEW. I’ve done my best to try and keep to certain rules and only cherry pick lines for my favorites, but I quickly ran out of room for everything. So the plan is to trim it all down and get rid of a lot of redundant figures I’ve bought over the past few years.

Late 40s, pretty much just stick to 84-91ish. So I'm pretty selective right out the gate. I'm fine with only a handful of purchases a year. I'm a dabbler with multiple lines and brands anyway and space is always an issue..

46 and used to be a huge Jakks collector in the Attitude era. Sold all of it off when I got married because we were pretty broke at the time and has some uncovered medical issues we had to pay for. I took a long break in watching wrestling between the attitude era and now, but I am full steam ahead and enjoying collecting and watching again. And now I have an 8 year old daughter that loves to watch and hunt with me. I am taking her to her fist live event in August and it's all she talks about.

I’m 31 and I still love buying figures but I’m more selective than I was before but it still gives me a feeling of happiness especially when I buy one that I really want

Age 53 and going stronger than ever. I am fortunate that I am at a spot where I have enough disposable income to grab whatever figures I need when I see them in store or online, but I am a bit more selective about who I get, as I don't need that many duplicates of certain wrestlers, especially the current ones.

I’m 45 and at this point exclusively buy legends from the WWF “LJN era.” Even though I watched wrestling consistently from the mid-80’s through 2015 or so, I still hold the LJN collection and time period in the highest regard. So I am happily ALL-IN on the Coliseum Collection, as well as buying select Legends and Big Rubber Guys of the era. I certainly buy less than I used to, was buying just about every LJN, then Hasbro, then Jakks; but what I am buying now I am more excited to buy than I have been since I was a kid getting my LJNs! Nostalgia-based quality over quantity!
I’ll also add that, since getting married and having my own daughter, I have limited my collection to what I can display in a home office. I sold off and donated A LOT of my collection, keeping what I cherish most. At this point, I have no interest in storing items I don’t have room to display, will sell items to make space and budget for new items, but will always consider whether that new item is better to me than items I have or would need to sell for space. Oh, and I also collect Star Wars and Marvel (action figures and Sideshow Premium Format statues), so space is close to capped!

38.
Legends only and cherry picked current stars.
Though, I do have a son that also collects. He's 10.
