Looks like he wore yellow boots so you can use the ones he comes with. Just take some acetone/nail polish remover and remove the designs off the sides of the boots. You can apply it on a cloth, paper towel, or a q-tip and then just rub it off. Be careful to only rub off what you want removed so you don’t take off the paint for the laces or soles.

I bought another Kurt since my first one had the massive giraffe neck and glad to report this one doesn’t have that problem. I compared the two and the one with giraffe neck has the long neck peg, while the other one doesn’t. Factory mistake I guess.

My preorders shipped a chase faarooq. Wasn't sure if I wanted that one. How long did hr wear that attire?

Picked up my order for the Hogan and Faarooq x3 that I placed yesterday and luckily got both versions of Faarooq! Will grab Neidhart at some point but am probably going to pass on the Angle, unless I can grab one for $6 when they hit clearance.

There were Hogans on the pegs at Target today. I know if they came with the winged eagle around his waist and an American flag in his hand they would have soared out of there.

Stopped by Target for my "In-Store Pickup" tonight. Shelves were bare, but they had my bag in the back! I really LOVE the Target system! And I love this Kurt Angle figure, another home run!

I thought that Kurt looked really good from the reveals, and safe to say it still does on the production figure. I really like that headscan.

Giraffe necks is absolutely brutal on Kurt Angle. Destroys what is otherwise a great figure.

The socket inside the head doesn't look like Mattel's usual work. It's very shallow. Does Mattel just do the sculpting and leave the engineering to the factories? This has to be addressed with the Vietnam factory going forward. You can see where the back of the neck rounds off, that's usually covered when you pop the head on. The empty space is very noticeable. Uggg. This is really, really bad.

As of right now legends 26 is Billy Gunn and Muta, were still due two figures that havent been announced yet. I believe Muta is the chase

I won't argue against it being a solid enough figure, but Mattel are capable of A+ Kurt Angles if they would reexamine the formula for him and compare it to how the man actually looked back in the early 2000s. The straps are too thick, he has herculean legs where the shorts are just painted on instead of molded, the kneepads aren't accurate (UE got it right), and most importantly of all: Kurt had more of stocky athletic build; he did not look like Ultimate Maniacs Ultimate Warrior.



I know action figures traditionally exaggerate human proportions, but it feels too far in that direction with Kurt. This particular figure went scrapped from when Kurt's deal ended last time, so I thought maybe they'd release it as-is and fix him going forward...nope, the upcoming Legends Kurt uses the same torso. That one at least is based on when Kurt was a bit more jacked in 2006. Mattel recently went back to that Nation 2-pack with the too dark Faarooq and shredded Rock, and they corrected Faarooq's skintone and gave him a better head in Legends & gave Rock a body that resembled his in '97 instead of '12 in MNW. I hope one day we'll see that effort with Kurt.

I still think it's a decent enough figure if you ignore the flaws; it's definitely a great era and choice of attire. I might wind up getting it and throwing the Epic Moments jersey on him.

Got my Hogan, 2 Kurts, and Faarooq today, a day before schedule. Thankfully I got the NOD Faarooq. The Kurt Angle is fantastic. Much better than that terrible cloth singlet Ultimate and better than the Entrance Greats attire. I’m gonna put a bald head on my 2nd Kurt if they release a new basic. I just love this attire. I wish he’d have longer knee pads, though.

Sadly my Hogan suffers from stiff hip syndrome and a wobbly head. I requested a replacement via the Target app and it should arrive this weekend. And I don’t have to return the wonky one. So it’s like I get another Hogan for free. Hopefully the new one has legs that move. This one I’m gonna boil and pop his leg off to see why the hip is so freaking stiff.
