Them rereleasing the Wild Samoans would have to be the easiest thing ever you'd think. Unless there are elements I'm unaware of I can't think of any reason getting Afa and Sika (or whoever would be in charge of their estates now, I'm not sure how their health is these days) to sign either a legends deal or a nostalgia deal would be much more than a "sign here please" sort of arrangement. So how there is no sign of the Wild Samoans getting new figures or a place in any rerelease line just seems odd to me. If there was ever a time to make it happen, you'd think it'd be within the past 3 years or so. Id definitely buy a rerelease. I was just looking at the old ones today thinking I want them but I want double jointed arms, soft goods, and swappable hands

I'm trying to see about giving the other an Umaga wrap as well. I want my Samoan Dynasty shelf to match and I hate yellow. Rocky Johnson also got repainted to red.

With the Umaga wrap, it goes low enough that you pretty much have to tilt the figure upwards to notice that the letters aren't painted, and standing on a shelf, you don't notice at all. I'll try to see about taking a picture later if I can

This year's Hall of Fame class is pretty strong, US Express and Bull Nakano would be absolutely must have figures for me but I'm wonder what other Hall of Famers have yet to receive a figure or are due for another one. Personally I'd like to see Luna Vachon Ernie Ladd Rock N Roll Express Gorilla Monsoon (Wrestling and Commentary) The Blackjacks The Wild Samoans Gordon Solie NWA/AJPW Era Terry Funk Dory Funk Jr Von Erichs Buddy Roberts Jimmy Garvin Stan Hansen Bruiser Brody Adrian Street Wahoo McDaniel None of these names seem like a priority for Mattel. Especially pre 80s legends. Thankful for Powertown. They will focus on names like this.

Some figures are warranted because of issues with the original figures or lack of availability. But most figures that get rereleased in exactly the same attire shouldn't be done - especially if the wrestler had other attires they could do. Take the "Greatest Hits" Natural Disasters figures. Those could have come in a different attire than the ones that were released. Earthquake and Typhoon each had 2 or 3 different Natural Disasters' singlets when they wrestled, they should have done a different design instead of a straight up re-release. Same with the Wild Samoans. These guys could get new figures in the legends line with slightly different gear, either with the white design on their tights or the red design on their tights. You could also go the route of a soft goods skirt??? instead of the plastic ones that came with the original figures. It could also be a different color.

That's understandable and I'd probably agree with you. As much as I hate paying a markup for older figures that's just part of the game. Personally I don't care about the value of my figures but it if it means getting different gears for some of the harder to get legends I have I'm on board

Gorilla Monsoon definitely needs a redo with a much larger body.
I'm surprised we haven't gotten a clean-shaven NJPW era Terry Funk or one in gray stripe tights.

Andy Kaufman went into the Hall of Fame last year....
But I guess we're not getting a figure.
Muta went into the Hall of Fame last year....
You guys said we probably are getting a figure?

Out of this years class
US Express: probably would buy them as a tag. Need an updated Windham/Windowmaker look. I’d buy a Stalker too. Wouldn’t mind an updated IRS. No major desire for Wallstreet but I’d buy an nWo version if made. Varsity Club would be cool but would need Sullivan too.
Thunderbolt Patterson: never heard his name mentioned ever prior to him announced for the HOF. Zero desire for a fig
Bull Nakano: would make a cool fig. If they made it I’d buy it but don’t really need it.
Ali: We’ve gotten plenty already. Would I buy another? Probably, but not sure what else they can do.
Heyman: ECW is a major want or One Night Stand

Heyman: ECW is a major want or One Night Stand US Express is an easy get for me, im a sucker for tag teams from that era. I'm hoping that could also mean an updated Horsemen look for Barry Windham Patterson is a strong maybe, im inclined to pick up figures of names like that in the hopes it'll boost the numbers enough to spark interest from WWE/Mattel in doing more 70s legends. Might pick up two and use the second one as a base for an Ernie Ladd custom Nakano is an easy get for me, she's one of my absolute most wanted figures especially if they knock it out of the park with a soft goods blue robe and pink women's title from her WWF run, Id buy any AJW repaints as well. Hoping it she gets a figure that opens up the possibility for Luna Vachon and Aja Kong getting a figure in the near future Ali is an easy pass for me. I considered getting a loose figure of his referee look but he didn't contribute enough to that match or WWF in general for me to need that figure even if it fits my collection. Heyman I think will sell really well even if it's not one I end up getting. I already got the Paul E Dangerously figure from the legends line that's good enough for me
