I recently went through my figure belt bin and found some that got stuck together giving them some damage :/
I neatly stack them in the bin but after finding damage titles, I need to rethink on how to store them to reduce future damage.
I was thinking of buying small ziploc bags and seal each so they cant stick together? Or maybe some kind of tackle box bin to separate them into sections?
How do you store your figure belts if they are not displayed on shelves?

May be a bit extravagant but I've kept mine in latch cases, like poker chip sets come in. Lay some styrofoam padding down. Never carried them by the handle but you could probably pin them in place.
Was considering an enclosed clear shelving cabinet to hang up and display them properly.

Is putting them around figures waist/over shoulder or displayed on a shelf in front of figures an option?

They are on the figures they came with. Same for me. I display them with whatever figure they came with. I’ll grave them off for pics and etc. of course.

They are on the figures they came with. I like this idea, but then feel like a lot of times the belt covers the attire, especially if the guy is in trunks and I'd rather see the attire....I hate how Mattel belts look on the shoulders In response to the question....all the belts I don't use I have in a ziploc.

In a cardboard box, unless they are on a figure.

I store them in a plastic accessory case from IKEA. I put duplicates in a ziplock bag.

I’m all over the place in that regard. Some of the belts I do over the shoulder, some I have guy’s holding Austin-style at their side, and some around the waste.

I'm actually trying to do a display of the Four Horsewomen with all their belts and... uhh... it's a lot harder than you'd think to put three or more belts on one figure.

The question is about storage, not display, right? I store mine individually in 3" x 5" plastic bags like you might see in a board game box.

Any title I have came with a figure so the title is stored with that figure. Whether it’s on the figure on the shelf or if I put the figure in a storage bin. The title is still with the figure it came with. It might not be the answer you were looking for but it’s how the titles are being stored.

I would suggest this is not a good idea to the OP because it will rub the paint off the trunks if they have deco.
